good way to elevate the heart rate in this heat. If you want to take a look at the route and a cool elevation map from mapmyrun.com, check out http://www.mapmyrun.com/run/united-states/ca/san-diego/435967667

I highly recommend bringing a cell phone in case you get lost...and not assuming everyone on the trail is from Active and following them... :)

Good times as always... Thanks for the FUN Arch!

I need a watch. Did anyone time it?

I finished somewhere in between 31-32, so depending on how far in front of me you were I'm guessing around 28-30?

The only reason I didn't stop and walk is because I had someone in front of me and someone in back of me, and THEY didn't stop to walk. Apparently they didn't stop running because I didn't stop to walk! I HAD to keep going up and up and up and up! Soooooooo tired now but totally worth it! Hmmm....might deserve a little massage from the hubby later.....

I ended up taking a quick walk break 3 times up the lopez canyon hill. I found it more efficient to walk those quick/steap switchback corners and let my heart rate come back down

That run was awesome like the New York Jets quarterback Brett Favre - just had to point that out

Too bad Favre is on the cover of Madden.

Great run! Mentally running up the hill was the biggest challenge and with the heat in the valley added to the work-out. Running with the rest of the group kept me going but I had to stop halfway up the hill. That route will definitely get you in shape! Thanks Arch.

ActiveX is functional movement, strength and top-end cardio training. I wanted people to workout with, and to truly make Active, active. It's motivating, it's bonding, it's good for us, and, it's fun.
