Nasty San Diego weather conditions didn't stop an intrepid group of ActiveXers from training today. "We take advantage of the poor conditions, because it keeps us from getting soft" said Mike Dobransky, an ActiveX athlete. "Getting sloppy wet only intensified the fun, added that little bit of extra insanity to already insane Turkish getups" said Kelly Conti. And from Gulam, an avid Xer and new father, "burrrrr".

Teams of 2, 30 minutes of:

6 Turkish Getups / wall sits (one member does the TGUs while the other wall sits, until the TGUs are completed, then switch)
2 x 5 flights of stairs / Pushups (on member climbs stairs with other does pushups. Switch when stair climber is finished)
25 lunges down, 25 lunges back / situps ( one lunges, one does situps until lunger is finished, switch)

Is that IV as in 4, or IV as in "I NEED AN IV!!"? Always a good one, but glad to get it over with for this month. Thanks for playing.

Trail of Tears
2.5 mile down "Super Beast", up "Super 'Squiotos", back down "Super 'Squitos, and back up "Super Beast", doing 10 push ups on the 2 minute, facing the direction you are running.

Oh yeah, after you get back, 4x2:00 wall sit, 2:00 recovery between each rep.

Hand stand push ups! The crew is getting jacked!

35 minutes of:

200 run (100 run/100 run backwards)
8 knees to elbows
8 dumbell swings
4 hand stand push ups

Way to go, Maile! She went from "I CAN'T do a handstand" to doing them unassisted in less than 5 trys, although she drop kicked Rob in the process. Nice work.

Everyone seems to adjusting nicely to the "boyfriend" bands. Some creative ways of mounting them, for sure. No recoil injuries as of yet!

ActiveX is functional movement, strength and top-end cardio training. I wanted people to workout with, and to truly make Active, active. It's motivating, it's bonding, it's good for us, and, it's fun.
