Once we got the tennis court cleaned off, we had a great workout. Beautiful, sunny winter day in SoCal.


Duration: 30 minutes

Objective: Complete as many rounds as possible in allotted time of - 5 burpees, 5 hand stands, and 5 legit sit ups.

:20 "on", :10 "off" x 8 rounds per exercise - Do each exercise the full 8 rounds, then move to the next.

Oooo, this one hurt. And it as a first time to ActiveX for some, so, welcome! I can't say it gets any easier, and why would we want it to? Right?

Awesome work today, everyone! You may be thanking me through Christmas for this one, you used a lot of dormant muscles to power those dumb bell swings. We're really creating a great environment for building fitness! We'll have to have a beach party this summer so we can all show off!

Great work today! This is a measurement workout, so if you recorded your time, we can measure it against the next time we do it.

Wow, what a group! I hope we can keep it up!


Today we did a TABATA interval with box jumps, push ups, squats, sit ups and modified pull ups. 8 rounds for :20 seconds on, :10 seconds rest 8 rounds, then 2:00 minutes rest between exercises. A great workout!

Welcome to ActiveX

With ActiveX, we'll train everyday movements to the extreme. No curls. No seated leg extensions. We run, jump, squat, push, pull, and sweat. We execute our movements like a rabid dog was chasing us, without sacrificing form. We time our workouts to make it competitive and track our progress. We push, we encourage, and we do it because we are Active.


Each workout will be different. We will however, have a set of workouts we will do time and time again to map our progress.


Our inaugural workout was captured on video We did 3 rounds of a 600m run, 30 push presses and 30 sit ups. Have a look:



We'll train Tuesday and Friday, meeting at the gym. Depending on how many show up, we'll need to stagger the workout so no one is slowed down by minimal equipment.
