I revved up a little slower this week than I would have liked but the good news is I did my first swim to run workout and felt good. I ran on the treadmill because my shins and knees still hurt. It took my legs a few minutes to warm up but I felt good after that.
This weekend will be tricky. I am supposed to swim and run on Saturday and then bike on Sunday but I will be driving a moving truck for
8-hours on Saturday and then unloading and unpacking up in the mountains on Sunday. I am confident that I'll be able to fit in the run on the local trails but I won't have access to a bike or a pool.
Gale-- what do you do when you can't get to a pool or on a bike?
Hey Belle ~
Sorry I didn't see this until today (Monday). I'm going to assume you did a fair share of "loaded" squats and upper body work - carrying boxes and moving. In this case, don't worry about trying to get in a bike or a swim.
In other cases, like traveling somewhere with no pool access and no activity - you can do some swimming with swim cords. I'll have to look for a good example of how to use swimming cords - but 15 to 20 minutes with the cords is plenty.
When there is no access to a bike, then hiking or staircliming are good options.
Hope the move went well.
