Bleh. My laptop with all my pictures and Sony picture programs on it won't turn on. I hit the on switch, and the lights come on, then it flickers, and turns off. The little motor sound doesn't make the usual noise. Geez. So, while I try to figure out what to do, here I am on my work computer (during work hours, of course), checking in with the world wide web.

Nothing much going on in the past few days... went to the Broken Yolk in Pacific Beach for the first time. That's a great breakfast place. They even have a dozen egg omelette! AND, if you eat

it all within an hour, it's free. AND, you get your name added to a Hall Of Fame plaque they have in the restaurant. Maybe one day. Haha!

The rain has been hampering plans to go out lately, too. Still gotta get some Christmas shopping done. Mall traffic sucks.

The Komen Race For The Cure was great... it always feels good to do it. Immediately after the race, we had a Charger party and Wii Tournament. Chargers won! And I did, too! Haha.

Thanksgiving/Black Friday

Well, had a great Thanksgiving and Black Friday! Ate some good food, spent some time with family, then went right into Black Friday! Midnight at the Las Americas Outlets, a two hour nap, 4:00am wake up call, drive to Best Buy, walk over to Parkway Plaza Mall, drive to Fashion Valley, quick trip home to pick up the parents, head down to the Naval Station Exchange, then the Marine Corps Recruit Depot Exchange, Blends Shoe Store, Circuit City and Target. And we were done by 2:30pm. BEAT THAT! Haha.

That night, The KneeHighs had a show at the Casbah with the talented Deep Rooted and Pigeon John. It was a great show!

Holiday Spirit

So, I'm beginning to get into the holiday spirit... went to the mall last night to preorder some Nike Air Jordan shoes that I've wanted since I was a kid (they're re-releasing that style again), and today, my girlfriend, brother, and I went all over San Diego, just looking for some stuff and gathering ideas for all our gifts. As you probably know, it doesn't snow here, so I'm used wearing a short sleeve shirt and jeans during the holidays... Haha. My brother found about a million things that he wanted to buy for himself... Haha! Anyhow, it was a cool day... nice weather, good laughs, and I got the Reggie Bush jersey I wanted!

Toys!

So, I've had my Sony "toys" for almost a week now, and I must say I'm enjoying the little gadgets. I'm a big fan of art and photography, so I'm like a kid in a candy story with this stuff. I've got the Sony GPS system, a W80 digital camera, and a Net-Sharing Cam. They all work great.

Not much going on in the picture realm today... I had to watch the Patriots-Colts game again (Yeah, I DVR'd it). How did they lose that game? Man, the Patriots are unstoppable!

The KneeHighs at The Mint

My hip hop group, The KneeHighs, had a show in L.A. on the 4th, and it was a pretty good show. There wasn't that great of a turnout, but the people that were there were very impressed and gave us lots of love after our set. The venue was nice... there were records all over the ceiling, which was very cool. The other bands we played with included Fair And Kind, and the very entertaining Bushwalla, who is also from San Diego.

All our equipment fit snug, right in the back of the car.

Dana Drury Benefit Show featuring MC Flow, The KneeHighs, and Bad Credit

Friday, November 2nd, 2007 - The Casbah, San Diego, CA

I am in a hip hop group called The KneeHighs... we played an awesome show on this night. One of our guys, DaDa, has a sister who was recently diagnosed with epilepsy, and mounted a huge medical bill... so, we decided to raise money to help her put a dent in it. All the proceeds from the show went right to Dana (DaDa's sister) and it was a huge success. We ended up raising over $2000, and it was a great time had by all.
