Although it was HOT, the Country Music Marathon/Half-Marathon was a great course with fun ups and downs. I think it was one of the more scenic courses that I have run East of the Mississippi. I am looking forward to running it again next year!!! Hopefully the temperature will be a bit cooler next year to make it a little easier for everyone... Congrats to everyone that came out for the Bowling for Brains event. As a team we would also like to thank all of our Cheerleaders in RED that came out to cheer us on... It makes it so much more fun when we see you throughout the course!!! ALSO... a big shout out to Shilpa for making here time of 2 hours!!!

Hi Mark,
This is Christine Donovan. It was great to meet you and congratulations on completing your run! Also, a shout out to Shilpa too, for completing her amazing time! Both of you are definitely skilled athletes, and experienced runners.
Yes, it definitely was a hot day and not ideal for running but the course itself is scenic as you run through the different neighborhoods of Nashville. I also agree with you that having all of the cheerleaders in red is what definitely makes this race fun, and keeps one motivated and alert! At least it does for me.
It was my pleasure to be a part of Team McGraw and to participate in this race for a second time. What I enjoy most about being a part of Team McGraw are the friendships that I've made, and at the same time helping others who are challenged by brain tumors. It's a win, win for me.
Hope you enjoyed those "Ya Gotta Believe" M & M's. I'll have to make that a tradition for our runs!
Take care, and be well.
Christine
