As usual, you are full of encouragement and said exactly the right thing. I'm about to get dressed for my track workout (clean clothes this time, yay!) and head to the dome.
I'm going to run with the group tonight, instead of on my own. I could use the camaradarie. I'll let you know how I do.
Thanks coach.
It's nice to see that you worked in a date with your husband! That's important. and I bet sledding with the kids was a blast! sometimes, there are things worth missing the workouts for:)
Yes, sledding was fun. I didn't really want to go at first, but the kids looked at me with their sad eyes. So I caved in.
A hill in our yard iced over and we didn't even need sleds. My two year old discovered this when he took a tumble and slid to the bottom on his belly...laughing. So my 7yr old dubbed it "the penguin" and we all tried it. That was all we did for the rest of our time out. It was a hoot.
One thing I've learned in 30 years of running is never get too excited about the good times and never get too down about the bad times. Hey, that's two things
It all evens out over time.
A treadmill at home is nice, but not a cure-all. I've seen a lot of treadmills (and other excercise equipment) become very expensive places to hang clothes.
