Back on Track.....literally

Posted by MegNH on Apr 25, 2008 4:46:16 AM

Track workouts started back up this week. It was nice to do them in the sunshine.  It was great to be outside with other runners.....all jiggling around the track together.

The workout:

1000 (600 rest) - 5:06

1000 (600 rest) - 5:12

1000 - 5:28

jogged to reach a total of 4 miles

(One woman who looked twice my age ran faster than me. I tried not to think about it. )

Good workout.  What was your time for the 600 rest?

Gee, I don't know.  I know that I was the last person to make it back to the start line for the next 1000.  Should I keep track of my rest times from now on?

Also, I think my miles this week will be back up where they should be.....hopefully 20miles.    I don't really know what's most important....like number of miles, or numbers of days run, or duration of each run, etc.  Let me know if I should be doing anything differently.

Yes, it is a good idea to get a split time for your rest as well.  It just as important as the time for the fast stuff.

As far as the woman who looked twice your age....I think Yoda said it best

"When my age you reach, look as good you will not. ... "

Or something like that
