Back on Track

Posted by SLauer00 Mar 23, 2008

Well I am finally back to my routine. After almost 2 weeks of sickness and being out of town, I think things are back on track. I was pleasantly surprised this morning when I saw the scale had actually gone down. I wasn't able to work out for almost 2 weeks and my diet was less than great. I am still seeing results and I am more motivated now to stick with it. So far I have lost 23 pounds and would still like to lose another 15 or 20 pounds. I have about 100 days until me wedding, which is about 2 pounds per week. I really am excited to do this. I know I can do it and I will. My walking routine is going great and I am very thankful for all of Coach Jenny's help. The walking plan has been hard at times and continues to push my limits, but that's what keeps me going. Having small goals is the way to go. Each goal I meet just gives me that much more excitement and motivation. I can't wait for the weather in St. Louis to warm up so I can get out and ride my new bicycle!! Just wanted to let everyone know that things are going great!

That is good news Sara. I too have been out sick and it is always a challenge to get back on track. The thing that is very clear to me in reading your blogs is your lifestyle has officially changed. Walking and activity is a big part of your life and you understand fully how it plays a key role in being healthy. Activity and diet play together nicely. When you are active you eat more healthfully and when you eat right, you have energy to move.

100 days to go and look at how far you've already come. Try to avoid pinning your success on a magic number. Stay on your path and you will continue to see results! Now, if we can just get some warmer spring weather!!! You should give yourself a huge pat on the back for losing over 20 pounds during one of the toughest winters we've had in decades. Well done...

Sara, you're awesome!! 23 pounds is amazing! Think about moving around without holding a big 25-pound plate you see at the gym... that is inspiring to me that you have done that. Keep it up :) Now that the weather is getting nice and the flooding has gone down, you can get out to Fenton Park on your new bike soon! I'm still waiting for the snow to melt in Chicago to get out on the lakefront path...

Sara--23 pounds! That's great! I am glad to see you so motivated. It helps motivate me and I am sure, countless others to stay on track too. So thank you!
