Perhaps this is best suited for our awesome Sneakerblog, but the close ties to the World Basketball Festival makes it worthwhile here.
As part of its promotion of the World Basketball Festival, which takes place August 12-15 in New York City, Nike is showing off different shoes that will be unveiled during the event and worn by different national teams on hand in the Big Apple.
Specifically, the Nike Hyperfuse and the Nike Hyperdunk 2010 are being featured heavily.
The Nike HyperDunk 2010 is an extremely light shoe, weighing just 11.5 ounces. It is a second-generation kick, and is a bit lighter and an upgrade over the original HyperDunk model.
The HyperFuse, meanwhile, is just an ounce or so heavier, and was inspired by "rugged outdoor basketball play" in China.
More details on these two shoes, as well as several others can be found on Nike's World Basketball Festival site.
Here are some images that Nike has unveiled on its WBF blog and its Facebook page. From a color standpoint, I LOVE the Brazil shoe. What about you?
