Weights and 4 miler

I am happy to report that I made it to the gym Monday afternoon and got in a solid 60 minutes of weight training. I have to say it was a little hard to get to the gym. All I wanted to do was go home and relax but I knew I would regret it if I didn't go.


Today after work I got in a 4 mile run on the treadmill. This was a good run for me. I added in 2 fartleks. I felt really good after the run with no soreness.


I am going to try and get in another strength training today either tomorrow evening or Thursday but if it doesn't happen I am ok with that.


5 days till Surf City! I am almost all packed. I leave tomorrow night to start my vacation. Woo Hoo! I am really looking forward to not only the run but also spending some QT with my dad.


Here's hoping everything goes well in the race. I will be back on after the half marathon to report how everything went. I really feel well prepared but you always get on the start line with some skepticism b/c 13.1 miles is a long way to go and anything can happen. Wish me luck!
