I finished out last week with a 4 mile run on Saturday. So total for last week was 8 miles plus one weight lift. Not too shabby... That was exactly what I wanted for my first week working back into it slowly. No new aches to report.
This week I am planning on getting back into my old routine. I am off to a great start with a 50 minute strength training session today at the gym. It was a good workout and definately a great way to start the week!
I have noticed that my appetite has significantly increased lately. I don't know if that is still a result of my muscles needing fuel to keep repairing themselves or if I have turned into a pig! LOL! No weight gain to report.
I am counting down the days until my next race in March. I hope to set another PR with this race. It is an 8k (roughly 4.9 miles). Also my idol, Deena Kastor, will be at that race and I am super pumped about possibly meeting her but even better, running in the same race as her!
So, great start to my week so far...hopefully I can keep this up!
