This past Tuesday, I finished a 12 mile run. I had started out to do 13 miles, but I called UNC at mile 12 becuase of the lightening! I ran for 2 miles in the rain which was fine, but when the lightening started, I thought nope, we're not running in this! Thursday, I finsihed a 13 mile run and I felt ok. Next week I'm planning on a 15 mile. If all goes well, the week after I'll have my first long run at 20 miles. It's been a while since I did one of those! My plan is to alternate between a 15 and 20 mile run every other week. I will not taper down in October since I lost 6 weeks at teh beginning of the training.
I was accepted to run the Philly Distance Run for Tug McGraw on Sept 21st. I feel that after my run yesterday, that I should finish that race without any problems.
I'm still shooting to complete the NYC marthon in under 5 hours.
Marty is doing well and recovering from her Aug surgery.
