“Based on runner input, we have updated the guidelines on iPods and other audio devices and will no longer prohibit them. Since our course is a closed course during the term of the event, wearing an iPod WILL NOT result in disqualification in and by itself. If wearing an iPod or audio device results in you not hearing or obeying race instructions, you could be disqualified.”
“It was a fantastic morning for us! Things were quite frenetic as soon as we arrived at the Potomac Library - my wife and I had family members to get signed up, donations to turn in, race numbers to pickup, race shirts to pick up, about 20 team members to find, about 25 team t-shirts to hand out, race numbers to pin on, including helping kids (although I totally forgot to pin my own bib on!), and some team pictures to arrange.”
“LOST 2 NAILS AFTER PHILADELPHIA, 5 AFTER FRED. MARYLAND. HAVE TRIED SHOES WITH WIDE TOE BOX AND EVERY SOCK MADE. WOULD LOVE TO KEEP ALL NAILS AFTER MCM. FEET ARE UGLY ENOUGH. ALSO HAVE TROUBLE WITH NAUSEA AFTER MARATHONS. YES ITS ME AT THE FINISH LINE PUKING. ANY IDEAS WOULD BE APPRECIATED.”
"Jimmy, you don't get to answer this, because you don't need to recover from 15 mile runs. They are a mere skip in the park for you! But the rest of you mortals for whom 15 miles seems pretty durn long, how quickly do you recover from your long runs?"
