Typically a late February/early March race, the L.A. Marathon is moving to Memorial Day for 2009. This article in the L.A. Times takes a look at the pros and (mostly) cons of the change, particularly the fact that a late season race date means warmer weather and potentially slower times.

Do you think registration numberswhich have been well over 20,000 in recent yearswill drop drastically? Or is this change in a time of change for the better?
