Athletes, spectators and fans will always remember the 2008 Ford Ironman USA Lake Placid for the sometimes torrential downpours that soaked the 10th anniversary event. </p><p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;">&nbsp;</p><p>Yet despite the continuously wet weather, 2,345 competitors finished the race. And then it quickly sold out for 2009.
