Hi,
You responded to my post regarding the account changes. You must be referring to the hardware maintenance we did.
Hopefully you didn't notice the outage time. We picked a time when stats show the lowest useage. It only took 2 hours instead of the 4 we had planned.

I really like a lot of the features of using my Little League District eteamz web site (www.eteamz.com/district28), however....
1) The real heavy use of this site occurs in June and July every year, with slightly less use in August. This is our tournament time, and my site gets over 90% of its hits during this time from parents/relatives looking for updated bracket information.
To make "major changes" during this time period just does not make sense to me as your customer.
2) I am an unpaid volunteer and, like many DAs, I have a full time job. Any extrra time that I have to spend in utilizing the eteamz web site takes time from my family and work.
For example, I arrived home about midnight from tournaments this Saturday evening (6/23) after being in LL meetings and at the parks since 9 am Sat morning. I went to my TB Pro update the 6 tournaments we are currently running - especially important as 5 of the brackets had changes due to rain problems. Usually this type of update would take me about 1/2 hour at most. I received an error message when using TB Pro "Post & Play" (Apache Tomcat/5.5.17-error report) that the program could not locate my tournaments on the web site; I made several attempts, and then attempted to repost the brackets without success (same error message).
So, I posted an article listing all of the bracket changes and results on my main web page.
It is now 3:50 am local time.
This is more than just a little irritating for an unpaid volunteer.
3) I would hope that you could take strong steps to ensure that the TB Pro system works effectively during the June through August period. It is the main reason why people visit my site, and this seems to have been a re-occurring theme for each of the past several tournament seasons (difficulty of some sort with the TB Pro system).
Thanks for listening - and, I hope you can take some action to better avoid these type of problems in the future.

Hi RB,
Thanks for commenting. It's hard to really pick a downtime because there are so many sports on eteamz, with seasons starting at different times. For Web site use though, the summer months (June - August) are our slowest. It's busiest in the late fall to early/mid spring.
Regarding the TB Pro error, we're looking into it. In the meantime, you can save your bracket as an image and then add it as an image to your Welcome or News for example (that's always a work around). Please note though that the site is currently down for maintenance (the changes I mentioned in my blog post are going live).
If you have any further qustions not relating to my post regarding the account changes, please contact us via your Message Center. Thanks.

My website is not showing up in column where it should be considered link to. It just says create a website.
I've been reading these comments, and frankly LL is most likely the largest customer overall. This is the period of time we as DA's use to get the most information out to our league locally and through out the state if we are hosting a state tournament. To say you have many sports using active may be true, but your team needs to decide what time of year is the least affected by any outage due to maintenance. My bet is your server traffic is significantly higher from June 15th through the end of July. I know that I've hade nearly 5,000 hits since June 15, and only 8,000 since one year ago. (yes, I track hits during tournaments).
Since active is the only "approved" little league web source, LL needs to have a little heavier consideration when things like this are done. It just makes the leagues prefer to use their own sources instead.
A big change like this has really hurt my push to get all my league's to use active.
I understand about the need for maintenance, but midnight east coast time is 9:00 west coast time, and about the time we on the left coast are getting home after games and trying to update our standings. I think a better time could have been selected. My league is going through playoffs this week and this is kind of bad...
