Hi there -
I removed the comments because they were posted in a blog regarding a different topic. I posted when I had information and we had no idea when the site would be back up. As soon as I give a time frame it always ends up biting me in the butt!
Most of the Active products were down all day yesterday as well. We (eteamz) were the only ones to be fully functioning. I didn't provide details at the time as it could have compromised the site.
What we meant by "sites weren't effected" is that no one gathered information from your site, data wasn't removed, etc. All of eteamz was down at the time.
If anyone has further questions, please contact us via your message center. Thanks!
I am trying to update my welcome page and I keep getting a message telling me that I have used a code that doesn't match eteamz regulations. Why is this occuring? It has been happening for two days. It will not let me do something as simple as updated the date of last update.
I had the same problem today. We had a meet and greet scheduled for today. At the last minute we had to post a notice on our website that it had been moved to another location and was unable to do so on our welcome page! This was critical info that needed to be passsed on!!
On July 31, and still today, August 1, I have also been unable to make even a small modification of the existing html on our BFSC webpage. I just get the error message ``We're sorry, but your code does not adhere to eteamz regulations. Please revise and submit again." I sent a message to Eteamz support and within 24 hours received the following reply:
Thanks for contacting eteamz support.
It's a known issue on some sites and our developers are working on it. It has to do with the security issue from earlier last week (see blog link below for the July 22nd post). Basically, you're trying to enter some HTML that isn't allowed, which is caught up in our filter. The developers are aware of it and will fix as soon as they can.

I gather from the blog entries that this problem has existed since July 23, when the new security measures were added. It seems that existing, previously acceptable html code, is now causing a problem, so updates of the pages with such code are not possible until the problem is fixed. I appreciate the prompt reply from support to my inquiry, and hope that this serious problem will be fixed very soon. Thanks very much, and good luck correcting the problem. alex
I was just on the site today in order to update our welcome message and to update some news. I can't get the verbiage to show in the text box and therefore, I can't make any modifications - why not?
Per Ericha's earlier note, it's a known issue on some sites and our developers are still working on it. Basically, you're trying to enter some HTML that isn't allowed, which is caught up in our filter. The developers are aware of it and will fix as soon as they can. We're hoping to have it fixed sometime this week. Kathy
Why did you (eteamz) delete all of the comments on the other blog thread referencing the major outage in the last 48 hours?
Security issue or not, the communication of this outage was very poorly handled and you should provide regular updates on status and expectations for return to uptime.
Deleting comments from your user community does not help you solve your problems but rather speaks volumes about your lack of understanding of your end user expectations.
Your response to the outage looks more like a kneejerk response with an inability to take responsibility.
Contrary to your response...sites WERE affected such that organizations were not able to communicate during VERY CRITICAL times.
In the future, take responsibility, fall on your sword for once and try not to make the same mistakes twice.
