Getting Started

Look for the fundraising upgrades within the Fundraising folder in your Site Admin.

Here are a few helpful links to get you started with your fundraising campaign:

Access for Supporters

To provide your supporters with easy access to your team or league’s fundraising campaign, you will find a "Support Our Team" link at the bottom of the left navigation menu on your eteamz site.

This will automatically be added to your site. Through this link your team members and supporters can visit your online magazine store to take advantage of the available fundraising options.

If you don’t want to provide your supporters with access to your fundraising campaign through the “Support Our Team” link, you can easily remove it from your site within the Pages section of your Access folder.

Happy Fundraising!

The free part sounds cool, but how much work is involved? I'm using the Give2Network search toolbar right for fundraising and it only requires me to search and shop to earn money for my favorite charity, PETA. I'm not too familiar with magazine fundraising--is it a lot of work to get people to buy them? How do you set it up?

Sep 11, 2008 3:55 AM Ericha_eteamz Ericha_eteamz    says in response to Cindy:

Hi Cindy - it takes a couple minutes to get the fundraiser set up.  Of course you can spend more time on it by customizing it....adding images, colors, etc.

Sep 11, 2008 2:00 PM AaronP3 AaronP3    says in response to Cindy:

The magazine fundraiser is really easy to use. The set up is straightforward and only takes a few minutes. You can customize as much as you want, but the key to a successful fundraising campaign is getting your group (team, league, etc) involved. This online program makes that really simple because it includes a fantastic email tool that allows you to upload email addresses (with 1 click) from your eteamz roster or regular address book (yahoo, gmail, etc) so that you can then send messages out to your group and supporters. This program also gives your group members the ability to send additional support emails as well.

Any of your supporters, from anywhere in the country, can buy magazines online from your store, and they can't beat the prices--up to 85% off newsstand prices. Once the sales start coming in, you'll get your group's profit checks (40% of sales) mailed directly to you.

Here's the link that shows you how to set it up...

Once again, as with the Sportswear issue, your developers have not considered those Leagues and/or organizations that do not wish, or

are not allowed

, to include fundraisers on their sites.  Once again, it is necessary for the webmasters to manually remove all traces of these offerings via laborious "closing" EACH and EVERY page on Welcome and subsite Welcomes.

For some of us, that can mean a manual access change for over 130 team sites!!

With the recent price increase in PLUS and AD options, it is extremely disappointing that your developers could not anticipate this as a problem.

There should be an easy option to close this link

over one's entire site, as suggested BY MANY when the Sportswear tab was added.  Or, ETEAMZ should have just added this feature with the page access already in the CLOSED position, and those that wanted to display it could OPEN TO ALL.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED

Sep 16, 2008 9:00 AM Ericha_eteamz Ericha_eteamz    says in response to TownOffice:

Hi TownOffice,

I apologize, it was an oversight on our end.   We're currently developing a feature for Leagues and Orgs so that you can close the page on all sub-sites at once, just as we did for the Sportswear feature.

In the meantime, our developers are going to close the page on your sub-sites.   They're hoping to have it done within the next 24 hours.

Sep 16, 2008 1:35 PM TownOffice TownOffice    says in response to Ericha_eteamz:

Ericha,

Thank you for the response.  On Saturday I closed the page on all my subsites myself, so your developers need not concern themselves with my site.

I will be looking forward to seeing the 'closing' option when it is available.  In the interest of time, I manually closed all my subsites when Sportswear was released, so never used the feature to which you refer...  where would I find it?

Thanks in advance

Sep 16, 2008 2:28 PM Ericha_eteamz Ericha_eteamz    says in response to TownOffice:

Hi - Ok, thanks for the update.

The Sportswear feature is in the Sportswear folder in your Site Admin.

Sep 23, 2008 8:52 AM TownOffice TownOffice    says in response to Ericha_eteamz:

Ericha,

I know where to find the Sportswear folder, but the feature to which i refer is the one you referenced in your previous response: "We're currently developing a feature for Leagues and Orgs so that you can close the page on all sub-sites at once, just as we did for the Sportswear feature."  I am unable to find the feature that closes the page on all sub-sites at once.  Can you specifically guide me to THAT feature within the Sportswear folder??

Thank you

Sep 23, 2008 10:05 AM Ericha_eteamz Ericha_eteamz    says in response to TownOffice:

Hi again TownOffice,

That feature was actually removed by mistake.   We'll get it added back in the coming weeks.   Have you not removed that link from all your sub-sites yet?

Sep 23, 2008 1:17 PM TownOffice TownOffice    says in response to Ericha_eteamz:

Ericha,

I have successfully removed the link from all the current subsites, but ours is an ongoing and repeating succession of seasons.  I am anticipating new teams will be added in our next season, and wanted to be familiar with the sub-site function before the next season begins.

Sep 24, 2008 5:12 AM Ericha_eteamz Ericha_eteamz    says in response to TownOffice:

Gotcha - the functionality will be added back soon.

Sep 29, 2008 9:14 PM John_Beer John_Beer    says:

Ericha,

we do NOT want the fundraising link or the Sportswear link on our sites.  how do i remove them?

Sep 30, 2008 4:05 AM Ericha_eteamz Ericha_eteamz    says in response to John_Beer:

Hi John,

If you don’t want to provide your supporters with access to your fundraising campaign through the “Support Our Team” link, you can easily remove it from your site within the Pages section of your Access folder.

Oct 24, 2008 6:21 AM TownOffice TownOffice    says in response to Ericha_eteamz:

Hello Ericha,

I continue to check for the site/subsite removal function on both the Sportswear and Magazine Fundraising folders, but still don't see any such option.  Do the developers have a timeframe on this feature?  It's been a month since your responses indicated  ("We'll get it added back in the coming weeks." and "...the functionality will be added back soon.")  that the option was forthcoming.  What's the word on this?

Oct 24, 2008 6:24 AM Ericha_eteamz Ericha_eteamz    says in response to TownOffice:

Hi - it's still in development, I don't have a time frame yet.

If you have further questions, you can contact support via the Message Center folder in your Admin.

Hi Ericha.  I already have a fundraising store for this team, so how do I make the fundraising link go to it?

Jan 28, 2009 10:55 AM Ericha_eteamz Ericha_eteamz    says in response to Covina_Colorguard:

Hi - there's no way to incorporate your own store into our fundraing store.   In order to use our tools, you would need to use our fundraisers.
