This is the file name you will now use when referencing images using HTML. Each image has its own link.
To view an example of how you would enter HTML, click here (posting it on the blog wasn't working).
You now have a "view full size" option on your Albums page which gives site visitors the ability to see your images larger. Go to the Albums page on your main site, select an album then an image. Here you will see "view full size" in the upper left side of the page.
You and your site visitors can now purchase photos and gifts on your Albums page. Here, you will see "photo gifts" and "buy prints" options.
In case I don't have anymore posts this year, have a fun and safe holiday!
Hi - we have a few changes going live today. Sites on customizable templates now have the ability to change Link Colors. You can do this in the Site Appearance --> Customize folder. Here, select the "General" tab. In the same area, you can now re-set your Hit Counter.
The 2010 holidays have been added. You may add to your site in the Calendar folder then selecting "add shared events."
Sites on classic templates can now add new banner, logo and background images (bug that popped up a couple weeks ago).
And last but not least, we've made it easier to assign a new head webmaster and change billing!
Next to all members in your Access --> Members folder, there is a "make head webmaster" link (when the head webmaster logs in). Previously you would only see this link next to registered admins.
Another admin can now take over billing WITHOUT the subscription expiring first. In the PLUS --> Account --> Full Details, there is a "Take over billing" link. Using this option will charge the new person upon renewal (if it's set to renew of course).
We have another release coming soon to address Albums/Images suggestions and bugs.
The internal messaging system used to contact support will be changing on December 9th. The folder names in your Site Admin (Contact Support for general members and Support for PLUS members) will remain and will be replaced with links to our FAQ's, Admin Tutorial, and email links to contact us for additional assistance. Support responses will no longer be sent back to your support folder/message center.
If contacting us via email using one of the links for example, our reply will be sent to the email address associated to your user account.
You’ve seen all the hype about customizable templates and want to make the switch but don’t want to lose all the hard work you’ve put in making your current site. Not to worry! All your data, stats, schedules, articles and complete site information will easily transfer when you make the switch. So what actually changes?
The only thing that changes is the look of your site, known as your “template” or “skin”.
Why should I change to a customizable template? Here are 5 great reasons to make the switch!
1) Choose from 70+ fun, new templates ranging from general to sport specific
Thank you to everyone for your patience during the Albumz Center face-lift! Today marks the official launch of this feature. We’re excited to provide you with many new features such as the ability to create and post a slideshow to your site in minutes, oodles of editing and design options, quickly create albums by dragging and dropping images and so much more!
We wanted to provide you with some information on what to expect during the launch.
Some of you may notice that all of your images in your Admin Albumz and Uploads>Images folders aren’t there.
Not to worry…they’re there! We’re just in the process of migrating the tons of photos over to the new experience and it takes time to do so. Please be patient – the photo’s may not be available in your Admin view but they are available on your website (public view).
What can I do to expedite the process of my photos being migrated?
If you proceed to your Admin and click the “Albums” link, you’ll be placed at the top of the queue for migration and all your images will appear in your Admin shortly (please allow for 24 hours).
If you see most of your images in Admin but some aren’t there, there could be a few reasons.
If the name of your image had a special character in the title (ex: -, ~,&, etc), the image may have not been migrated over correctly. We are actively working to resolve this as our top priority. Please check back frequently for your images to be updated.
In certain cases, the names of images were formatted such that they pulled up broken images on the old photos system. Because these images were broken and not able to be located by our system, we did not migrate the names over. These broken images were still taking up your disk space. You will no longer have broken images on the site and they won’t take up disk space.
It is possible that images were uploaded after the site’s images were migrated. In this case, the images will need to be re-migrated. If you go into your Admin and click the “Albums” link, you will be placed at the top of the queue for migration.
If your site isn't migrated yet you will not see images, files, etc. when attempting to use the "add file" and "add image" buttons in the Welcome and News folders for example. This will be resolved when your site is migrated.
We’re excited to bring this fun experience to you and your team and can’t wait to hear feedback on what you think! Please contact support via the Contact Support folder in your Site Admin with any questions.
We know everyone’s as excited as we are about the launch of the new eteamz Albumz Center so we want to keep you up to date on the progress.
Within the next couple of weeks, the new experience will be available to you! In preparation for the launch, we must migrate everyone’s photos to the new photos platform. It’s okay - the images on your current site won’t be affected at all in this process. The only side affect you may notice from this is the amount of space used as shown in your disk space monitor. Until we release the Albumz feature, it may appear as if your images are not counted in your amount of “disk space used”. Please know that the space used by these images will be reflected once we release the final product.
No worries – this won’t cause any problems to your site and all your photos, images, sounds, music and such will still be there at time of the final launch. Please keep this in mind as you upload any additional photos during the migration phase.
If you’re like most teams, you not only want to showcase your team but also the League or Organization you’re a part of. Now you can with our customizable templates and it’s as easy as the click of a mouse.
1) Navigate to the Customize section of your Site Appearance folder in Admin
2) Select the Logo tab at the top of the page
3) Choose a previously uploaded image or upload a new one (you can even make the image clickable to an external website if you want!)
4) Be sure to save your changes and the image will display under your Site Menu for those that select the "side" Menu Style
Already displaying your league logo elsewhere on your site? Here are some other useful ideas on how to best use this space: Upload an image of one of your sponsors
Upload an image of the Player of the Week
Create an image with your team/league's contact information (You can easily do an online search for free image creators)
Thank you to all sites that participated in the 8th Annual Spooky Site Contest! We're giving all who participated one free year of the 5GB space upgrade (keep an eye out for an email from me in the next few weeks when the new space upgrade goes live).
Congratulations to our winners who won a free year of PLUS!
Who doesn't want the coolest website in town? Now you can with our custom border option on the customizable templates, allowing you to add a border around your main site content with either color or an image.
To do so, navigate to the Customize section of your Site Appearance folder in Admin.
1) Select the Border tab at the top of the page.
2) Select either an image and/or border color.
Why select an image?
Selecting an image gives you the option to choose where it displays on your page or as repeating. Checking the "repeat" option as "both" allows you to encompass the entire border with an image.
What if I want both - a color AND an image?
No problem! If you select both a color and add an image, be sure the image can be seen with your selected border color.
Here's a site that selected a border color to display with the same color as their background.
We wanted to let you know about a few changes regarding our partnership with Shutterfly. After a successful three years, our integrated partnership with Shutterfly has ended. We appreciate the quality service they have provided to eteamz customers and enjoyed having them as part of the team. Due to this change, you'll no longer be able to upload photos directly to your Shutterfly account from within eteamz. You can, however, continue to upload pictures directly onto eteamz through the Albumz folder in the site admin tool. There is no need to worry about your existing Shutterfly albumz; your photos will still be displayed on your eteamz site and still located on the Shutterfly service.
So how do you get started with the new eteamz Albumz when it launches? That's the best news yet! There's nothing special for you to do - we'll do all the work for you! All your eteamz Albumz will automatically be transferred to our new eteamz Albumz and links to your existing Shutterfly Albumz will still be available on your eteamz site for as long as you keep those photos on the Shutterfly service.
Please feel free to contact eteamz support if you have any questions and thank you for being an eteamz customer and allowing us to share in your active lifestyle.
