As the summers have knocked at Indian doors the temperature shot up to 44 degrees Celsius on Monday & Tuesday afternoon. But later after afternoon by evening a dust storm accompanied by a slight drizzle brought welcome relief for the people of Taj Mahal City.
As per the Lucknow weather office the maximum temperature was 44 and minimum 27.7 degrees Celsius Monday. Thus, district authorities have declared to close the schools for summer breaks as asked by Parents’ Organization.
Recently, as per the Agra news a person died on Monday afternoon in Shamshabad bazaar, Agra, due to heat stroke as stated by his relatives. Seeing all this, the district court has decided to functions from early morning till 12 noon. According to a weather official, “The dust level has gone up as the dry summer winds – “loos” – have begun to affect life”.
Thus, the rising temperature has also affected Taj Mahal Tours in the city. A source told, “The number of noon-time visitors to the Taj Mahal has come down. You see big crowds there only in the evenings”.
“It is the marriage season that is seeing us through. During summer months, the visitors to the city are mostly students and domestic tourists”, said Surendra Sharma, owner of Hotel Goverdhan. Seeing all this, many Agra Hotels have started offering off-season discounts in order to pump up the declining tour in Agra.
Although, this is just the starting of summers and whole of the northern region is facing a dry heat and hoping for rainy season to knock the doors as soon as possible.
