Once upon a time, there was a magical lodge hidden away in the mysterious forest. Only a select few knew where it was or were even allowed in.
Err... not really. The Tourist Club is a beer pub/social club on the edge of Muir Woods, just north of San Francisco. They are a private club, but they're also open to visitors during weekends. I decided to take my LA friends there for a nice walk and a few beers. Then we went to a restaurant called Ad Hoc in Napa for dinner. Highly recommended, by the way, if you ever want to know what home cooking by a world class chef tastes like.
Oh yeah, I also happened to bring my handy GPS unit for tracking every step we took. You know, just in case other people wanted to know how to get there.
Here's a map of our trip that afternoon and evening:
And as always, I created a Picasa web album plotting the pictures on a map, which can be found here:

Of course, there's the obligatory screenshot:

Maybe one of these days Google wil let people embed album maps into their websites... right now you have to pay for third-party services to do so. I also haven't had time to hack together my own code for generating photo maps. One of these days...
This photo probably sums up the Tourist Club experience:
Mmm... Belgian beer on tap and sausages while overlooking a gorgeous mountain landscape...
