Hi all.

I just thought I'd send a little relief our parents way...luckily my mom is good at hiding her nervousness because she knows I would be driven mad if she was constantly asking me questions/flipping out/portraying how nervous she was about us moving. She has been very good and even calm! From the comments on the last blog, I gather that she has been releasing all of this on her friends, Rula, Mari, Kat, etc. Thanks ladies--you are all good friends. And ALSO thank you because I don't think I could handle any of the stress that comes with questions. Even here at work, when people are constantly questioning me, I can't take it!!!!

Anyway, we now officially have a place to live. I think this might hit a nerve on my mom's superstitious side (as it did me), but I have gotten over it and decided it's probably actually really lucky. We will be living on the 13th floor on 13th street in unit 1306. Now, mind you, 13 is my least favorite number for obvious reason, and 6 is my second least favorite. But, we've got 3 13's going on here and Nicole has managed to convince me that I'm being ridiculous. And, I think I am, because when you check out our new place, you'll see it's well worth it:

I love it! How many bedrooms and when will you be ready for us to visit? LOL! I agree with Nicole, get over the 13 thing. What you think about you bring about. Give your new place lots of positive energy and in return it will give you it back. XOXO

WOW! With a view of the lake, soldier field, the museums really close by. AMAZING! I love it. I cannot WAIT TO VISIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also I thought they don't do 13th floors on buildings for superstitious reasons? They go 11, 12, 14, 15, etc. ???

Tara I love it !!!!!It looks like the places I have lived in here in Michigan. I LOVE the hire rise feeling . By the way Geoff, was right about the number being eliminated, but that was back when stage coaches were still running. This is a very wonderful challenge you have decided to make positive. Being faced with accepting so many numbers that you didn't really care for just goes to prove that we can turn anything into a positive and that everything really is ok. If I just put you to sleep ( like your mother does ) when you wake up just know that I love you and I am so happy for your new adventure xoxox Mari P.S. Thirteen has always been lucky for me and I know it will be for you two! Love the view!! WOW!!! How could a place that looks like that be anything but FaBuLoUs??? Hopefully you are facing the sunset side, imagine how glorious that would be from your windows!

Dang! That place looks awesome!!! It's just beautiful and what a great location - you can SEE the big museum in the pics! CAN'T WAIT to come visit you guys!

And hey - Patrick was born, and his parents were married, both on Friday the 13th!!!! So maybe it's really a LUCKY number!!! :)

Tara & Justin - Absolutely beautiful!!! I have visions of shopping, and dining and walking around Chicago! Yes, I feel much better now that you have a home there. What a view too! And, don't worry about the 13 thing - many consider 13 to be lucky, and I am going to from now on.

That place looks frickin awesome. It reminds me of the apartment that Tom Hanks had in the movie BIG. He had a trampoline, bunk beds, and a vending machine in there ... do you guys remember that? They would all fit really well in that room with the wood floor and the windows all around. :-)
