Managed to run 10k on the treadmill this morning. It wasn't amazing...it certainly wasn't glamorous (LOL), but it got me past my personal best of 5.6 miles. Total distance is 6.5, but actual time that I timed myself was 6.1 miles. The hardest mile was actually from around 2.5 to 3.5 where I fell out of my pace. Somewhere around 4.0 it just fell back into place and fell into my stride. It's really a mental game for me - I know I am fit enough to run it, but it is a matter of believing that I can. (The bad part is that I am going to have to get another pair of running shoes before the half marathon...they are so darned expensive.)
