More to Come

Posted by RJ A Aug 14, 2008

Well I will do a formal race report on the Oshkosh Tri soon but I have just been to busy to get it out yet.

It was a good day a bit of a Northwest wind made the swim a bit choppy and the bike a bit difficult in spots but all in all I was pleased.

I took my PR at the Olympic distance from 2:51:36 down to 2:43:00 which is not to shabby.

I averaged 2:00/100 on the swim which was not bad considering I needed to tighten my goggles up due to leaking.

The bike was the bike never my best I averaged 19.3 which is disappointing for 38 miles considering I averaged the same on a 56 mile course. Garmin had me at 19.7 but whatever it continues to be my weak link.

The run was nice I managed 7:41 or in that area anyway over the 10k course.

Funny with all the improvement I am still smack dab in the middle of my age group, which is somewhat frustrating. But who cares.

Would like to do one more this year maybe a sprint but I need to find one. Otherwise I have the half on the horizon but people, I am not getting it done when it comes to preparing for that. Those are just the cold hard facts of life at the moment.

Anyway the next post will contain a more detailed report and an announcement. So ya all come back for that.
