I just watched this video and had to hear what other people think about it. The team in red pulled the "Wrong Ball Coach" trick play and absolutely no one saw it coming. The center snaps the ball to the quarterback, who holds the ball up in the air as he yells "wrong ball coach...it's the wrong ball" and walks towards the sideline. Then you hear someone yell "GO" from the sideline and the quarterback turns and sprints all the way in for a touchdown. I hadn't seen this done before and am not sure if it's even legal or not, but since the center snapped the ball I think it should be.

What do you think? Is the play legal? Have you ever seen a team run the "Wrong Ball Coach" trick play or anything like it before?

Soccer Skills Gone Wild

Posted by Active Sara Feb 6, 2008

I have seen a lot of soccer skills videos, but this one is definitely up there as one of the best. Some of the tricks are absolutely amazing and am still wondering how on earth they were able to do them. Check the video out below and let me know what you think.

Which trick is your favorite? Any tricks you have never seen before?

Ball or Balloon?

Posted by Active Sara Jan 29, 2008

Check out Sheffield United's goal against Manchester City.

The rules state that if there is another ball on the field the game is stopped. Furthermore, it also states that if there are any other objects on the field that can interfere with play, the game is stopped. In my opinion, there is no way this play should have gone on with all the balloons scattered in the box. It isn't Michael Ball's fault, it's the refs fault. The refs should have taken control of the situation on the field.

Thirteen long years after their last post-season victory, the Chargers finally came to life late in the second half Sunday to beat the Tennessee Titans 17-6 in an AFC wild-card game.

Tomlinson was able to celebrate the first playoff victory in three tries in his brilliant seven-year career thanks in large part to this leaping touchdown:

ACC Official Ron Cherry gives a descriptive reason why he called a penalty in the November 24, 2007 game between the Maryland Terrapins and the NC State Wolfpack.

He must have been paying homage to the same call made by Ben Dreith in a 1986 game between the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills:

The game between the Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers was a wet and muddy one to say the least. Just how wet and muddy was it? Check out this video and see a Miami Dolphins punt stick in the mud without any bounce. I've never seen anything like it.

Auburn cornerback Jerraud Powers was a 6-year-old the last time he bit by a dog. Until this past weekend.

With less than three minutes in the game, Powers was in the vicinity of an incomplete pass by Alabama’s John Parker Wilson. While Powers was celebrating, a police dog guided by a state trooper attacked Powers’ left hand. Perhaps the dog is an Alabama fan...

A Very Unlucky Bounce

Posted by Trish18 Nov 19, 2007

One of the craziest field goal attempts I’ve ever seen took place yesterday.

The Cleveland Browns trailed the Baltimore Ravens 30-27 on the final play of regulation when Phil Dawson attempted a tying 51-yard kick. The ball seemingly bounced off the crossbar before bounding into the end zone. The officials called the kick no good and the Ravens ran off the field celebrating.

However, several Cleveland players insisted Dawson's kick hit the curved support behind the crossbar and then bounced back into the end zone. After discussing, the officials ruled that the kick passed through the uprights and called the players, many of which were already in the locker room, back onto the field.

A very unlucky bounce indeed, but luckily the officials made the correct call.

In overtime, the Browns drove 43 yards before Dawson kicked a 33-yard field goal to win.

Here are some great action shots as the Kingfisher Jackets take on the Cowboys. Looks like the quarter back is a natural judging from one of the photos towards the end!
