Greetings. First item today is mad props to Trish. Running is not her strongest area and completing two miles is awesome for her triathlon preparations. Well done kiddo.
Now, an introduction to Oklahoma weather. You see, the state has a bit of an identity crisis (and not just in a meteorological sense, but don't get me started). It's not quite sure if it wants to be included in the humid Southeast or the arid Southwest. Consequently, a typical August day begins with 95 degrees but a heat index of around 110. However in late afternoon the humidity plunges but the temperature still hovers around 95. The nights usually teases us Okies with mid 80's.
So, for the past month I have been working out between 20:00 and 22:00, which I have never really done before. I prefer doing it right after work so I don't get distracted by things to do at home, but it's just too hot this time of year. Hopefully we get a break from the heat soon.
Today I ran 2.25 miles and then sprinted .75 miles to finish up a 5k. After, I walked .75 miles stopping every .25 miles to do some calisthenics. The first stop was sit-ups and pull-ups; second stop push-ups; third stop sit-ups and pull-ups. Finished with a few minutes of stretching. This has been my primary workout for about the past year.
I have decided what my first goal is: 20 pull-ups. I'll spare myself the embarrassment of telling the world how many I can do now...
Total active time = 44:38

It hit 102 while I was in St. Louis and I had very little desire to go outside and be active.
They are doing major construction on it right now, btw.
Your pull-up goal might influence me to go to Halas a couple times per week and get a few good lifts in...I recently bought an annual alumni membership
