However, once I get going , it gets hot quickly. What does everyone do wih the added piece of clothing after they take it off while you are out on a run. Also, what's the best thing out there to put your keys and cell phone/mace etc in. I hate carrying stuff with me, but sometimes on long runs it's a matter of safety. I cannot imagine wearing a belt...are there ones out there that are less of a nuisance?

Realistic goal???

I don't consider myself a strong runner but I love it and like to set goals for myself. I've been running maximum 10K and have already completed 1 race- at 10K and several at 5K - 10K is not easy for me. My "dream" would be to run in the NY Marathon next year. Is this a realistic goal for someone my age and fitness level? I checked out the beginner marathon program on cool running and it seems way too fast for me. Can anyone please offer any advice, suggestions, or even tell me .....forget about it.....?
