Edit Sony NEX-FS100 1080p AVCHD in FCP 7/X with ProRes 422 codec

Sony NEX-FS100 is an interchangeable lens camcorder featuring a Super 35mm sensor equivalent in size to Super35mm film cameras ( same as PMW-F3), and a Sony E-Mount 18 to 200mm zoom lens. Developed specifically as a digital motion camcorder, it captures fine detail and image texture with image fidelity, low noise and wide exposure latitude.

This camcorder features 1920x1080P Slow and Quick Motion (Over & Under Cranking). Recording images at a different frame rate from that used for playback provides the extra versatility of slow and quick motion shooting. The NEX-FS100 enables Full HD (1920×1080) progressive slow and quick motion. S&Q shooting plus last scene review permits checking the S&Q effects on-set, immediately after shooting the scene without drilling down menus.

Sony FS100 camcorder records AVCHD format video, and it uses MPEG-4 or MPEG-2 codec, this codec is not good for editing in FCP, and you will encounter importing and codec problems when you try to import Sony FS100 AVCHD to FCP 7/X or Avid Media Composer.

FCP 7/X best supported video format is Apple ProRes 422 codec MOV format, so the best method to solve Sony FS100 importing and codec problem is to convert Sony FS100 1080P AVCHD footage to ProRes for editing in Final Cut Pro, you can follow the steps below to transcode Sony FS100 files to FCP for editing.

My son is looking to play lacrosse for the spring/summer. He is in 7th grade but has never played. I know its late for registrations as alot of clubs are full. We live in Lower Bucks County but traveling isnt a problem. He has been playing travel ice hockey for 5 years.....any suggestions?? thanks!!

We finally found a good fundraiser for Lacrosse

You can go on that page and click on the "apply for fundraisingcode". They will email you your own fundraising discount code withina day or so and you are good to go. It was really easy and it workedgreat for our team. There was no minimum order quantity, so it could beused for small or large fundraisers. Our fundraising discount was 40%, sowe sold them for full retail price and made $5 to $8 on each necklace/braceletthat we sold. Once we placed the order they had it assembled and in themail within 3 days. It is a US company, so they are assembled and shippedfrom the US! Just thought I'd share this with everyone, as it wasexciting to find a fundraiser that was different than the usual stuff.
