IMT Des Moines Half Marathon

I will be doing the IMT Des Moines Half Marathon on Sunday, October 17th. My son will be doing his first full marathon that day. I plan to be in the 2:20 pace group. If anyone else is planning to do this race, it would be great to run together.

What do you think of this marathon?

Looking for feedback on this marathon. I have ran Twin Cities and Grandmas and am considering going south of the border. I love TCM but don't want to sign up so early incase of complications. I'm close to 4 or sub-4 hour marathoner and like crowds or at least something scenic. Will I be running by myself at times? Is the metal nice?
