How do I hide my email address on my profile?

First make sure you're logged in. You should see "Welcome, {your user name}" in the right corner.

Click on the "Your Stuff" dropdown menu and choose "Profile" from the list.

Click the "Edit Profil" hyperlink.

Make sure to uncheck the check box next to "Show Publicly?"

Scroll to the bottom and click "Save Profile"

How do I upload a profile photo?

First make sure you're logged in. You should see "Welcome, {your user name}" in the right corner.

Next, click on the "Your Stuff" dropdown menu in the top navigation.

Select "Profile"

Click the "Edit Profile" link that is next to your avatar photo.

Scroll down to your avatar and click the "Change" link under your avatar.

Click the "Save Settings" button.

This next page is where you can upload a profile photo from your computer, crop, review and save.

How do I create a blog?

(Note: This is to set up your individual blog, not to post a blog)

First make sure you're logged in. You should see "Welcome, {your user name}" in the right corner.

Click on the "My Active" link next to "Welcome, {your user name}"

You'll be on the Overview Tab of your profile and on the left there is a Popular Links menu

Scroll down to the Community section and click the "Start a Blog" link.

Go through the steps to create a blog and fill in all the required fields. (Note: your blog description has a 255 character max)

Click the "Create Blog" button at the bottom once you've completed all the steps.

How do I post a blog?

(Note: This is to publish blog posts to your individual blog. Make sure you have created a blog first)

Make sure you're logged in. You should see "Welcome, {your user name}" in the right corner.

Click on the "New" dropdown menu on the left side of the tool bar menu.

Select "Blog Post" from the list.

Next you'll be prompted to choose the location. Click on your blog.

You'll be redicrected to the blog post editor where you can create your blog post.

Click the "Publish" button at the bottom when you're finished.

How do I stop email notifications?

First make sure you're logged in. You should see "Welcome, {your user name}" in the right corner.

Click on the "Your Stuff" dropdown menu and choose "Preferences" from the list.

The default settings are set for you to receive email notifications for any content your create on the site.

Customize your settings by changing the individual radio dials from "Yes" to "No" to fit your needs.

Save your settings by clicking the "Save" button at the bottom of the screen.

How do I start a discussion thread?

Once you log in and select your community of choice, (example: running>general discussion), you can create a discussion thread by selecting "Create Thread" from the Actions Module.
