It has benefited many extreme runners, cyclists and yoga people.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It focuses on opening the hips, strengthening the core and increased range of motion in upper &amp;amp; lower body rotations. It is unlike almost all trainings out there as it is low impact yet high cardio. We practice iso &amp;amp; plyometric moves, core stabalization &amp;amp; extension WHILE hula hooping! - this is not like the sillyness of what most hoop classes offer - tricks and what not. It is dynamic workout &amp;amp; easy for everyone.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;My interest in sharing my classes, trainings, hoops &amp;amp; dvds with people on this board is that I am a runner. I set the world record for speed and distance hoop running the Bolder Boulder 10k. I break this time every year. training for hoop running brings out all set back any runner has. It was then, that I decided to find a hard core workout which cross trains the the body, relieves chronic pain and enhances my sports performance. I wanted to have fun, feel successful and stay motivated. Long story short, I was introduced to larger hula hoops in 1997 and found them to be the most playful and effective of a workout. I started studying the body mechanics of athletes in all sports. I applied my yoga training and extreme sports to a make a unique workout. I travel globally to host trainings and workshops. Then, in 03, a friend dared me to run the Bolder Boulder 10K with my hoop. I organized a team, went through drills of how to move through the crowd, protecting the hoop and running to the finish without ever stopping or dropping the hoop. This turned into a yearly event. The first year that my team finished, we made it into the Guinness Book. Every year since, we break the inital record of time.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I now sell an amazing collapsible hoop, padded, safely weighted and glows in the dark. This comes with a workout dvd and tote. I set &amp;amp; break world records while running with my hula hoop. (I train athletes globally with my hoops as a form of sport training)&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;And I would like to enter in the Ft. Collins 10k this sunday, mothers day, 7am. It should only take us 1 hr.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I can pay entrance fees &amp;amp; have until thursday only - to find a few more runners.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;You would act as blockers for the hoop so people dont run into it. It is tons of fun &amp;amp; some strategy.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I've hoop ran the Bolder Boulder for 4 years - hoop never has stopped or dropped.
