For full disclosure, I am a current board member of the Rincon Triathlon Club, and XProTri is a prior board member who was asked to step down due to conflicts with other board members.</p><p>Rincon Triathlon Club does in fact have a coach who is a board member, and multiple coaches who are sponsors. The increase in fees from $ 42 to $ 50 was to cover the additional costs of the USAT membership and insurance, which are in effect and were never dropped. There was a brief lapse in membership due to confusion over duties being handled from a board member change. The Rincon Club spends all of the money taken in on goods and services for it's members. The services include numerous socials and training events, such as swim clinics, a practice triathlon, a bi-weekly duathlon during the summer, club shirts, visors, etc. I beleive the very high repeat renewel rate is a strong indication that most of our members beleive they are getting excellent benefits for their dues.
