It's very well organized and you're likely to see a white squirrel. It is one of the larger races in the area so it is actually competitive. I would recommend this race. The course is pretty flat.

This is the 4th year for this event. It keeps getting better. It is nice to have race directors who are runners. The course is hilly, but is very scenic. The event is family friendly, and it is nice because families can stay and enjoy the park after the event. They typically do drawings for free entries to the next years event. Last year there were cash drawings as well. I would highly recommend this race. It supports a local cause, and the park staff makes sure it is a good event. Last year there were about 120 people. I think their goal this year is 200.

This event was not well organized, and did not start on time as a result. This was by no fault of the timing company, but rather the race director(s). The course had no volunteers, and because of this several people chose to turn around early and not run the full 3.1 (or 3.2 as it was). While the organization that hosted this event is a great one, it seemed like participants who did not have a boxer or schnauzer were made to feel unwelcome. There were no age group awards, and overall, this race needs a lot of work.
