It rained for a couple of minutes (actually the first 5 mins run) but it didn't bother me, on the contrary I felt beautiful.

Also, moderately easier than my previous run. That's because I did a slower pace this time. The average speed for C25K is supposed to be 400 meters in 3 minutes and I measured that I did 560 meters in 3 minutes on my previous run.

Import Canon Camcorder AVCHD/MOV files to FCP with Mac Camcorder video converter

Import Canon Camcorder AVCHD/MOV files to FCP with Mac Camcorder video converter

As a great non-linear video editing application, Final Cut Pro has gained the favor of different people, from video hobbyists, independent filmmakers to film and television editors. Final Cut Pro provides non-linear, non-destructive editing of any QuickTime compatible video format including DV, HDV, P2 MXF (DVCProHD), XDCAM, and 2K film formats. Seems powerful enough? Even so, users always encounter troubles when importing clips shot by different cameras or camcorders, like Canon Vixia AVCHD, etc. In that way, you have to consider transferring Canon Camcorder videos to FCP compatible file types before importing, such as Apple ProRes 4444, Apple ProRes 422 (HQ), Apple ProRes 422,Apple ProRes 422 (LT), and Apple ProRes 422 (Proxy).

Now that we’ve talked about importing, I’d like to say something different between Final Cut Pro 7 and the newest Final Cut Pro X.

Three ways are available for importing.

1. Importing from File-Based Cameras

2. Importing from FireWire Cameras and Decks

3. Importing Files - You can import files into Final Cut Pro X by choosing Import > Files or by dragging files directly into the Event Library. You don’t need to specify whether you’re importing an individual file or a folder, as you do in Final Cut Pro 7.

Understanding the similarities and differences between Final Cut Pro 7 and Final Cut Pro X will allow you to work faster than ever with this new breakthrough application.

Back to the point, if you have troubles while importing different Canon Camcorder videos to FCP, what to do? As we’ve mentioned at the beginning, you have to consider converting Canon avchd/mov footage to FCP workable format before importing. Indeed, there are numbers of Canon video converter software in the market. Choosing a good converter or a bad one will decide the quality of your editing material, so it’s serious. Aunsoft Canon Camcorder video converter for Mac will never let you down. It not only provides expert format preset for Final Cut Pro, but also offers profiles for other commonly-used video editing programs running on Mac OS X, including iMovie, Final Cut Express, Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, and Sony Vegas. More than that, if you wanna cut some Canon footage for watching on iPad, iPhone, Apple TV, iTouch, Aunsoft Canon footage converter will also help you realize the goal.

To encode Canon recordings to FCP for editing, three steps are enough.

Step 1: Import Canon footage to Aunsoft Canon video converter for Mac software.

Step 2: Select output format for FCP (X).

Step 3: Convert Canon footage to FCP compatible format.

Additional Tips - with Aunsoft Mac Canon AVCHD/MOV to FCP Converter , you can do more:

- convert Canon AVCHD files to FCP editable format

- transfer Canon EOS DSLR H.264 MOV for Final Cut Pro

- transcode Canon MXF to QT MOV, Apple ProRes, AIC, DNxHD, etc.

- downsize 1080p Canon footage to 720p

GoPro HD Hero2/Hero3 Footage Editing Tips in Adobe Premiere Pro

Summary: With this guide, you can smoothly import and edit GoPro HD (Hero2, Hero3) Footage in Adobe Premiere Pro(CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6) by transcoding/converting GoPro .mp4 to Premiere Pro compatible WMV or MPEG-2 video.

GoPro video cameras- Surf Hero, Hero 960, HD Hero 2, HD Hero 3, etc are familiar with everyone whoever has passion for outdoor activities. The point here, you will find it a painful experience to import and edit GoPro HD MP4 movies with Adobe Premiere Pro software. There’re some frequently asked questions quoted as below.

Q1: only as the sound but no vision

I have several hours of footage taken with a GoPro HD Hero3 at 720p 60fps (mp4) and am trying to create my first movie, but frustratingly they show up only as the sound but no vision when I import these MP4 files to Adobe Premier Pro CS6？

Q2: rendering video problem

I use Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 and I got some experience with it. I started with importing the video material(1280x720 60FPS) from my GoPro HD Hero2 Camera. While editing I obviously used the video preview window to see the result of my editing and the video quality was fine! Time to render. After the rendering process was done the video quality turned out really bad! I can't figure out what I’m doing wrong!

As you know Gopro records MP4 videos, but it seems Adobe Premiere Pro(including the recent Premier Pro CS6) does not like the way. The file type is a compressed output format, but not ideal for editing in NLE system. To solve those problems, the quick workaround is to transcode MP4 files to Premiere Pro natively supported formats (MPG/WMV/MOV are highly recommended). Along with some help from third-party software, it can be done effortlessly. Here I share a simple guide on how to convert GoPro HD MP4 files for Adobe Premier Pro editing smoothly. If you’re facing the issues, read on to find the answer.

Downloading the App- Brorsoft Video Converter

Overall, the program is the best Video Converter for GoPro HD footage. With this Gopro video converter, you can effortlessly transcode Gopro MP4 to MPEG-2 or MOV, which will create an Adobe Premiere friendly file format keeping the Gopro orginal quality. Besides Premiere, this software can also export DNxHD for Avid, MPEG-2 for Sony Vegas, Premiere Element, AVI for Pinnacle Studio and more NLE systems for native editing. For Mac users, Video Converter Mac is the alternative choice. Just download it and follow the tutorial below to get the work done.

Convert/Import GoPro HD Hero2/Hero3 MP4 files to Premiere Pro

Step 1: Add Gopro MP4 video files

Install and launch the GoPro HD MP4 converter and load source MP4 clips to it.

Step 2: Choose output format

Click "Format" pull down list to select Adobe Premiere/Sony Vegas> MPEG-2(*.mpg) as the best video format for Premiere Pro. When the conversion task is finished, click "Open" button to get the exported files and then import the converted GoPro MP4 files into Adobe Premiere Pro to do further editing

Related Guides and Tips:

How to import GoPro MP4 to Final Cut Pro 7

How to ingest GoPro MP4 footage in iMovie 11

How to edit AVI videos in Premiere Pro

How to load GoPro footage to Pinnacle Studio

Transfer Hero3 MP4 clips into Premiere Pro CS6

Encode GoPro Hero3 MP4 files to DNxHD video for Avid MC

GoPro HD movies with Adobe Premiere Pro compatibility?
