I have run the Lost Dutchman 1/2 marathon course once and their 10K 3 times. This is fantastic location with great scenic views of the nearby Superstition Mountains. I think it's the best organized and well run event in the entire Phoenix area! Fantastic and supportive volunteers, superb race shirts and the Medals are better than any of the Rock and Roll races. Give this Apache Junction event a try and you will Not be disappointed. Top notch!

Decent race, but very little post race goodies! Only cookies and bananas plus just water and No sports drinks. I will not waste my money on this one again! Also, the Chip timing was only at the Finish.. Just OK, but not worth the $$$..

This event is, by far, the best organized and well run in the entire Phoenix area. Fantastic logo shirts, scenic courses, with enthusiastic volunteers, great medals plus lots of past race goodies. You will have a memorable day in Apache Junction regardless of if you run the 8K trail race, 10K, 1/2 marathon on or the full marathon events.

Superb event and for one of the best area runners and a great person! Maybe next year they'll "consider" Chip timing? Everyone was in a happy and festive mood and Steve Rink (Race Director) did a solid job in all respects Truly a 5 Star event rating!

The race morning was cool and dry. However, the 5 mile race was actually close to 5.4 miles long due to bad directions late in the race. Otherwise it was a 4 star event, but due to the poor course I'll have only give it 3 stars...
