Junior tennis instruction photos added to MyTennisWorld.net

Currently also quite a few instructional junior tennis photos have been added to MyTennisWorld.net

This can be a valuable resorce for coaches and tennis parents. You can see that even juniors under 10 years of age can well learn and produce strokes using the same biomechanical principles like adult pro players.

Here at this photo from a junior tournament match MBTA player Fabian (*1999) showes very solid serve with full pronation as well as excellent shoulder axis and gleno-humeral joint angle.
FREE tennis educational network with images of the top players to facilitate more self-learning possibilities

With http://www.MyTennisWorld.net we offer an absolutely FREE educational social tennis network where hundreds of photos and dozens of videos of the top pro players are presented, most of them with my technical comments. You can see a wide variety of examples of all the tennis strokes where some of them can be considered as ideal, some average and some rather wrong. These examples should help you while working on your game. Each member can also submit one video footage of his/her stroke for a free stroke analysis. At the picture attached below here, you can see one example - Dinara Safina (RUS, from a doubles match at the 2008 French Open) is looking away from the ball / impact zone before she strikes the ball during most of her serves. This is in my opinion the main reason for her not very stable serve. Some of you might remember the 2008 Olympic final where Safin lost in 3 sets to Elena Dementieva. In this final match, Safina commited 17 double faults!!! So, looking at the picture below (click at the attachement), you might see one of the main reasons why she (Safina) lost that Olympic final in Beijing....

What a shame for her that she was not taught right. There are many more interesting facts to be discovered at http://www.MyTennisWorld.net - for example how does Dinara's brother Marat Safin (RUS) handle his eyes during the serve.. What do you expect..?

He is hitting the ball under the eye control and can thus maintain an optimal body position with full extension towards the tossed ball. This good ball observation lets him also hit the ball with high degree of precission!!

!DSC_0530.JPG!

Eye control of the ball makes or breaks your tennis game

Eye control of the ball is one of the most crucial elements for a

controlled and highly efficient tennis game! In general, I allow myself

to say that wrong eye control of the ball is the most common tennis

mistake worldwide. Majority of tennis players tend to look over towards

the target before they touch the ball with the strings of their rackets while hitting.

This greatly compromises the control of the stroke. In certain moments, this happens even to the best world class players. The eye mistake is then mostly the explanation behind missing the stroke, which was not possible to miss..

The great William (Bill) T.Tilden also touches the topic of the eyes in his excellent book "The Common Sense of Lawn Tennis", which he published in the middle of his career in 1924 at the age of 31 years. In his top 10 list of what a tennis player should never do he lists as # 1 - "DON'T TAKE YOUR EYE OFF THE BALL!" He then greatly describes how the eye control of the target and ball should be like - worth reading....

The mistake of the wrong eye control of the ball can be seen in

the ground strokes a lot, but even much more in the serve. Here below you can see picture of James Blake (USA) from

his opening match at the 2008 US.Open. Here he is wrongly looking over towards the

target long before the impact as he does it with majority of his

serves... This might be the biggest mistake in his game. He then tends

to fail with his serve in the important moments too.. You can see much

more about this topic by the examples (both correct and wrong) of other

players at the FREE tennis educational social network http://www.MyTennisWorld.net , which offers hundreds of images and dozens of videos revealing many "hidden" tennis secrets.. The top players are not all that perfect as you think...

....and now look at Dinara Safina (RUS), photo is from the 2008 French Open! In between, Dinara lost the 2008 Olympic final in Beijing with 17 double faults in 3 sets and during the current lost 2009 French Open final she commited 7 double faults in 2 sets... Her eyes are most of the time looking down away from the tossed ball long time before the impact.. I have sent notice regarding this problem of her to the people from Adidas (Adidas runs its own player developemnt operations for their players) months ago already, but nothing seems happened yet....
