Hip Arthroscopy & Labral Tear: Please help!

Hi!! I am a distance runner and just recently diagnosed w/ possible labral tear of my left hip and have been seeking other alternatives for treatment. I am wondering if anyone out there has ever done laser therapy. I have been receiving treatments from a chiropractor and feeling great lately! From what I know, there are not a lot of chiropractors doing this as it is hard to get insurance companies to pick up the cost on it so ends up being an out of cost payment. But, this treatment is suppose to regenerate tissue and promote better blood supply to the joint and has been touted to heal labral tears depending on severity and with apropriate rest, etc!! I was doing cross training and felt a deep pinch during a heavy low squat and did not take appropriate rest but instead ran the next day and it just progressively got worse over time leading me to seek chiropractic tx which didn't seem to help much so sought opinion of a bone and joint dr who did an xray which lead to finding out that I have moderate hip dysplasia. Then got an MRI which revealed possible labral tear. The bone and joint dr seems to be heavily leaning towards surgery as he is suggesting that I go see a specialist and find out about open hip surgery or arthroscopy. Since he only performs closed, he referred me to a specialist who does open. He is suggesting cortisone injections then PT before trying to get qualified for this surgery as insurance will not cover these costs until you can prove that you have tried other measures. But, in short, I plan to still run and not wanting to look into surgery as I am only 38 and don't want to be opened up and have such an invasive procedure. I do not have any pain only dull aching pain felt in hip socket w/ marked pain only in deep squat or internal rotation but has been getting progressively better w/ range of motion and aching pain since doing this laser therapy and laying off any high impact exercises. My pain feels like a tightness or pinching in my hip socket that radiates to my knee but very tolerable. Just curious if any other runners out there have done laser therapy?
