I'm searching for a word to describe this "run", but "hard" just doesn't sound hard enough! I'm not genetically gifted, but I workout lika fiend, and this was extremely difficult! As much as I hated it, I found myself quite content to plod up the last 200 yrds behind some dude in his 70's! I can only imagine what that guy must've been like 40 yrs ago! Deciding to carry the 14lb steel bar that I normally run with was probably not the smartest thing I ever did, but we both made it! Although (thankfully) I didn't need it, the Mt. Baldy Volunteer Fire Dept had a strong presence along the last couple miles. If you're not in great shape, don't do this run, but, if u are, and want to prove it, Mt. Baldy's the place!

Any San Diego runners doin Malibu CK Xterra on 5/8?

Looks like I'm doin this 1 solo so far. Just wonderin if anyone fr my neck o the woods is gonna be up there (actually, I'm an El Cajonian).

Great race!

What can we do about all that pavement?!! I suppose I'm dreamin, but a more rural setting would be nice. I was bummed that they got rid of the top of the hill, that steep, paved, downhill, sucked! 4 the minimud, u guys need 2 put sum straw down underneath the plastic! There r sum nasty rocks under there and they hurt!

Better than sex, and I'm talkin full-on pornstar sex! Only thing that might beat it is runnin in the snow, but it's a different kinda feelin.

Haven't really decided yet, but I either wanna run or ride up the peak, check out the sunset, then come down in the dark. Trails are in bad shape so it'll be a li'l dicey. I'm not a world-class athlete, I just like to kick my body's ***. Call/email w/interest:

We're a single-car fam and it's hard on the wife n kids if I take the car up so I'm lookin 4 a ride. I was also thinking about camping in the park (only a few sites left). Anyone already hava site? I'm willing to pay my share of gas/camping $$. U can reach me @ jharrellz@hotmail.com.
