Interesting event - there were about half as many people as I expected. But there were still enough to generate a long line for the single port-a-potty - so long in fact they had to delay the race by 15 minutes so everyone could take care of their business.

To be fair, one of the event organizers said they had setup two, but that the second one went missing the night before.

I was a bit disappointed in the 5K course, which went up a street on the right, then back down the same street on the left. A loop would have been better.

Great experience. Love registering through the nifty mobile devices they had there. One swipe of the driver's license, one (failed) swipe of the credit card, and I had my lunch BIB.

I work at Active.com, so you think I'd be "active" and all about races. But on Saturday morning (the day of the event) I had no interest in running a 5K. Then my girl said, "hey, you should run this with me". So we registered on-site around 5:45pm and were ready to go. I was impressed with the booths that were setup by the starting line. I mistakingly ate a icecream cone before running which came back to bite me at kilometer 4. Regardless, the event was well put together and I was surprised at how many people there were.

I apologize for the glitches we introduced with the upgrade. It was a significant jump in software versions, and we made it to position the Active Community for the growth that we're expecting next year. We're certainly working hard in our development/testing environments to get the issues resolved (namely slowness and the intermittent inability to reply to threads). Should all go well we'll have some speed improvement this week, and the login issue where you can't reply to a thread should also be resolved within a few day's time. Please continue to post comments or feedback about the upgrade here, and we'll do our best to resolve these issues.
