I couldn't find wind-proof pants, but I got a shell, some poly tights and a couple of poly shirts. Hooray!

In other words, has your knee been swollen since your week 4, day 1 run? If so, I might see a doctor. If the swelling went down after that run but has happened again, I'd rest it until the swelling subsides and then start on a lighter workout and build back up.

I live in south central Wisconsin. There's no snow on the ground yet but that will change. It's still cold, though - under 35 degrees (F) every day if not colder.

Any thoughts or advice about starting to run in the winter?
