      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:34accb82-6675-4256-896d-7a131493490c] --&gt;&lt;div class="jive-rendered-content"&gt;&lt;p&gt;Hi everyone!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Finished w2d1 today.&amp;#160; Signed up for my first 5k as well (june 5th).&amp;#160; I have signed up with a group of people that I know only a little bit.. not really friends, bu people in a group that I associate with.&amp;#160; So its like I have to do it now..&amp;#160; I can not bail out, they are counting on me to be there!&amp;#160; I surely dont want to explain that I am not going because I gave up..or because I couldnt finish the program, because I know I can do it!&amp;#160; Its just a little bit more accountabily to keep me on track!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I didnt want to get on the tread mill today but I just kept telling myself "You arent going to feel bad once you do it." "You wont be annoyed that you did it, you will only be upset/angrydissappointed if you DONT." I was right.&amp;#160; feel great now that w2d1 is behind me. &lt;img height="16px" src="http://community.active.com/4.5.5/images/emoticons/happy.gif" width="16px"/&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;As for sp too somneones advice and slowed down, thing that might be the cause of the shin splints.&amp;#160; I am doing 3.5 walk and 4.5 jog.&amp;#160; It is where Ied to be right now, I think.&amp;#160; I went over a mile and three quarters this session.&amp;#160; More than half way to 5k&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Kerry&lt;img height="16px" src="http://community.active.com/4.5.5/images/emoticons/happy.gif" width="16px"/&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:34accb82-6675-4256-896d-7a131493490c] --&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:91563df9-a549-4d1b-9676-ca708b893edc] --&gt;&lt;div class="jive-rendered-content"&gt;&lt;p&gt;Good morning!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I am so glad to see this post on my first visit to this forum.&amp;#160; I am going to jump right in and join you since this morning I did w1d1 of couch to 5k.&amp;#160; I laid in bed staring at the treadmill for an hour this morning before I finally got on and just did it.&amp;#160; It is so raining here in Massachusetts that running outside was nowhere near on my radar screen!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Anyway, I am a single working mom of two small kids.&amp;#160; I lost about 30 lbs this past year, but the adjustment to single motherhood has not been graceful for me, apparently and I have put on a lot of weight..&amp;#160; I had to face the music at the dr office on thursday when the scale said 224lbs (I am 5foot6inches). &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I have wanted to run a race for such a long time.&amp;#160; Now is the time to actually do it.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Hope I can lend support to others who are trying to run their first (or first this time around) 5k and get support from others as well!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Kerry&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:91563df9-a549-4d1b-9676-ca708b893edc] --&gt;</description>
