ARGGGHHHH!!!!&amp;nbsp; I have come to the realization that it's just not worth it for me to go through months of rest and rehab, only to be able to barely run for 3-4 days.&amp;nbsp; SOOOO...for right now, I am going to start lifting weights again 4 days per week, and walk 5km 3 times per week or so.&amp;nbsp; I guess I am fortunate that I don't HAVE to run to lose weight because I am pretty fit, and I am 6'1" @ 175lbs and lean, so I am really just exercising to maintain my fitness level.&amp;nbsp; I may take up cycling (as I wont have the impact problems that you get w/ running), but I am not going to shell out the $$$ for a road bike quite yet, as we may be making a big move soon!&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Anyway, I will keep up w/ all of you on FB, and I may still post on here from time to time, but I don't see much running in the near future anyway.&amp;nbsp; Perhaps next year after the move (and after my health insurance at the new place kicks in) I may go to another specialist and see what they can do for me with regards to running, but until then, I will just pump some iron, and eat right.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Keep up the great work everyone! &lt;img height="16px" src="http://community.active.com/images/emoticons/happy.gif" width="16px"/&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:6d5b56e8-f819-458e-8e37-596776810ec4] --&gt;</description>

(Cindy maybe) that they got orthotics, and it was a bit painful breaking them in...so hopefully all will be well.&amp;nbsp; I am supposed to do D3 tomorrow, but I may delay it til Sunday to give my legs an extra day of rest.&amp;nbsp; Fingers crossed!!! &lt;img height="16px" src="http://community.active.com/images/emoticons/happy.gif" width="16px"/&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:648d6d28-452f-4210-99f0-2630b748b09e] --&gt;</description>

height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;CW, I think you are right.&amp;nbsp; I was pretty depressed having to start the C25K over, but I am super stoked that my wife is doing it with me, and in the grand scheme of things, 9 weeks is nothing, I am still achieving my fitness and healthy lifestyle goals, and I feel 1000 times better this week even doing W1 of the program than I have for the last several weeks I have been sitting on the couch.&amp;nbsp; It was really getting me down, so I am happy to be doing something as opposed to nothing.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Kerrster, starting over is not that bad.&amp;nbsp; It is pretty amazing how fast I lost my fitness level, but I know it will bounce back quickly as well, and I have to take it easy on my shins.&amp;nbsp; Although the doc didn't quite say so in her diagnosis, I suspect I had stress fractures in both legs.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Even just doing 60 second intervals, my shins are a bit sore, but I am hoping that is partly due to the fact that my legs are not fully used to my orthotics in my running shoes.&amp;nbsp; I am icing my legs after each run w/ ice frozen in foam cups (just peel the foam off and massage the shins w/ the ice).&amp;nbsp; It helps alot!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Carole...you are such a trooper!&amp;nbsp; I am so &lt;a class="jive-link-external-small" href="d@mn"&gt;d@mn&lt;/a&gt; proud of you!&amp;nbsp; I can just see you out there running like Linda Hamilton on a mission...maybe w/ Eye of the Tiger playing in the background.&amp;nbsp; You rock!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Carol, it is TOO easy to get out of the running groove.&amp;nbsp; I am glad to be back, and you will be too!&amp;nbsp; Just take care of those shins.&amp;nbsp; As someone who has really struggled, I know its no fun, and unfortunately, there are no easy fixes.&amp;nbsp; You just have to rest them, and ice them to reduce the inflamation.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;CW...My motivation problems are a bit different to yours....just have to get my momentum built up, but I did feel that...almost an anti-climax after finishing the C25K.&amp;nbsp; I do think however that "perhaps" I will do the straight GW28K when the time comes.&amp;nbsp; I think these programs are put together pretty well, and every workout seems to have its purpose.&amp;nbsp; I thought the C25K was a bit silly at first, but was amazed at how well structured it is, so I'm thinking maybe the GW28K is the same.&amp;nbsp; The fact of the matter is that interval work is actually better for you fitness wise, and while I personally want to eventually run marathons, I know that I have alot of work to do before then, so anything that helps me move closer to that goal is a winner to me.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Everyone else, keep up the great work.&amp;nbsp; Some of us have some mental work to do, so get your head right, know what you have to do, and do it...period.&amp;nbsp; No excuses.&amp;nbsp; Know you can do it.&amp;nbsp; I know you can, but YOU have to KNOW IT.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;One of the things that really draws me to running is that it is one thing that I can TAKE OWNERSHIP of.&amp;nbsp; Regardless of what is happening in the world around me, or in my life, when I am out there running, I am in charge, it's just me and the road.&amp;nbsp;
