Spirit of the Marathon, the inspirational film that follows 4 every day athletes and 2 elite marathoners, is now out on DVD. This movie was released for 2 limited engagements in early 2008, but because of the limited release, many missed it in theaters. If you're in Canada, the one and only screening of "Spirit of the

Marathon" is tonight at 7:00 PM local time. It's a fantastic film that

follows 6 runners from elite athlete Deena Kastor to 70 year old 5 time marathoner Jerry Meyers. It

also delves in to the back story of the marathon with interviews from

legendary marathoners such as Frank Shorter and Bill Rodgers. It's a

must see for inspiration and appreciation of the sport. The director is

a marathon runner (has run 24 marathons) and a film maker who brought

together his passion to create this film. There will be a live Q&A

with the director at the Scotiabank theater in Vancouver after the
