      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:5d680623-53d2-4a1e-a58d-4adf0cd6b419] --&gt;&lt;div class="jive-rendered-content"&gt;&lt;p&gt;I may be walking sunday as my wife is deciding if she will participate in Sundays event.&amp;#160; it will depend on weather etc.&amp;#160;&amp;#160; if she is not walking, then I am hoping for PB sunday.&amp;#160; if she is, then next chance will be mid april...She is working her way back and completed her first post chemo 5K this past labor day.&amp;#160; (she is 3 yrs post chemo for stage 3 ovarian)&amp;#160; i would be in great trouble if I left her behind on the course.&amp;#160; on the other hand, it will allow me to not spill my coffee during the event..I have started several races cup in hand...&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:5d680623-53d2-4a1e-a58d-4adf0cd6b419] --&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:7f2fc061-ed12-47b2-9434-66b2ae095532] --&gt;&lt;div class="jive-rendered-content"&gt;&lt;p&gt;Good day all - I've been negligent in keeping up.&amp;#160; mostly not logging on to computer when at home.&amp;#160; its very liberating when you stay disconnected at times.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Biggest update:&amp;#160; Cleared the 220 line couple weeks ago.&amp;#160; managed to go on business travel and vacation and still stay below the line.&amp;#160; flirted with 215 for a bit but settled back between 215 and 220.&amp;#160; goal of sub 200 in in sight - it had been while to get below this milestone.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Other good news:&amp;#160; no actual knee pain for 8+ weeks and I've managed to actually run/waddle/job 5k straight 6 of 8 last runs&amp;#160; (5 in a row, then I was in boulder on business - managed 4k straight but failed at 5) then 5+k on last sundays 10K run.&amp;#160; I saw some new folks keep at it and don't give up when it seems tough&amp;#160; - folks here are very supportive.&amp;#160; Running 5k this weekend (scopeitout5K in Wash D.C) planning this to be possible PR run.&amp;#160; we'll see but I plan to run/jog/waddle the entire pace.&amp;#160; one thing I did to help my self was to change my lap time from 1k to 500m.&amp;#160; little more feedback and keeps me from wondering so much how far I've gone.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;hope everyone has been keeping well&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Skoal/OGR44&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:7f2fc061-ed12-47b2-9434-66b2ae095532] --&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:d54ccc63-3a7b-4cbe-8214-9fbc207465ef] --&gt;&lt;div class="jive-rendered-content"&gt;&lt;p&gt;Saw the note about Chicago weather - I used to live in Will county and went to school down in Peoria (Bradley).&amp;#160; I am looking for a good source for race info in/around Chicago area.&amp;#160; I plan to be in area 10-15 march and was trying to find race on the 10th.&amp;#160; I am driving out and cannot make a run on the 9th.&amp;#160; Son and nephew's spring break line up this year so we are planning visit.&amp;#160; I am most likely going to miss my St pats runs&amp;#160; ( I've done the Wash D.C.       <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:33260a70-e73b-4f0c-859e-5ba6bd219316] --&gt;&lt;div class="jive-rendered-content"&gt;&lt;p&gt;happy new years everyone:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I just missed my goal of 220 for the new year.&amp;#160; I'm between 220 and 225 but have not had needle cross that 220 mark yet&amp;#160; (except for the flu recently).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Just finished 6KM today in 46 min.&amp;#160; one of the pluses was actually running/jogging for 3.5 km of the 6KM with one stretch were I got in a full mile - first time since last april when I sprained my knee.&amp;#160; looking to switch shoes (mostly because I am curious) I currently wear the Nike free runs and have tried on couple different of the Merrill minimal shoes and liked the fit but never pulled the trigger.&amp;#160; Anyone with any experience with the merrils?&amp;#160; I cannot get good fit with VFF as when I have tried them I need two different sizes due to my missing part of toes on left foot due to frostbite in my teens. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:33260a70-e73b-4f0c-859e-5ba6bd219316] --&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:44145bd5-2cd6-4312-a4d9-8ed1fe68d9f2] --&gt;&lt;div class="jive-rendered-content"&gt;&lt;p&gt;Good and Happy New year to all:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I have done several runs recently:&amp;#160; Fairfax 4 miler on New years Eve&amp;#160; --&amp;#160; 49:34.&amp;#160; of greater note I passed my son not once, not twice, but three times during the race (he was running/pacing a friend and being a good sport) on one section of the race&amp;#160; (just past the h2O stop) as I passed him for the last time he asked "why are you running so fast?"&amp;#160; gravity was my answer&amp;#160; ( it was steep down hill section). He and his friend proceeded to pass me few meters later and finished a mere 3 min ahead of me.&amp;#160; He was surprised as I actually ran several sections vice my normal walk.&amp;#160; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Today I did 6km in 46 Min.&amp;#160; once again the biggest accomplishment was running an actual mile (jogging really) then alternating walk 500 m / Jog 500 m.&amp;#160; this is of note as these are the first times i have tried to extend running at all since April 2012.&amp;#160; I am almost ready to declare knee healed and work on extending running to include a full 5K running in the next few months.&amp;#160; after the 6 Km run, wife and I walked 3.4km for grand total today of 9.4Km!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;weather has been fine - highs in the 40's lows in the upper 20's&amp;#160; I so much like running in the cool weather compared to the summer heat.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:44145bd5-2cd6-4312-a4d9-8ed1fe68d9f2] --&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:bd9136cd-e12c-4a31-82a5-1a1c4060c6c0] --&gt;&lt;div class="jive-rendered-content"&gt;&lt;p&gt;I will add that while I don't use the VFF&amp;#160; --&amp;#160; I cannot get them to fit right in one size; I do use a minimal shoe as well.&amp;#160; Little more padding than the VFF but more traditional in toe box.&amp;#160; I made switch going on two years ago and love it.&amp;#160; I'll wear my old running shoes now and they feel like my old flight boots&amp;#160; (not that bad but noticeable).&amp;#160; I cross train Karate and am pretty much bear foot (or sock) when at home.&amp;#160; I have not had any running related issues since I switched&amp;#160; --&amp;#160; I did jack up my knee in karate this spring and have greater empathy now when I hear that someone has sprained a knee.&amp;#160; been 6+ month long road back to pain free walking let alone running etc.&amp;#160; I've just started to push pace past fast walk&amp;#160; (for me that is 12 min/miles)&amp;#160; and hope to finish the year on a upward swing.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;the right shoes make a difference especially for those of us on the upper end of the scale.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:bd9136cd-e12c-4a31-82a5-1a1c4060c6c0] --&gt;</description>
