Talk to your District Administrator right away. I believe that there is a procedure where you can ask for a waiver. It would include getting all managers and coaches in that division to sign off that they declined to manage.

If someone was wearing an umpire hat with a LLWS logo, I would think that they had worked it. That's how the umpires around my district got theirs.

Isn't it interference if a runner or a just-put-out runner picks up a live ball?

I can't seem to find the thread from a few weeks ago that discussed why would you buy one BBCOR brand or model over another since they all should be the same, so I started a new one.

It seems that a lot of college programs found out the hard way that there are differences. It appears that Nike won't be in the bat business for a while.

Wasn't that rule also in affect for FED baseball at some point in the 2007-2009 range? I seem to remember that it may have been in for one or two seasons while my son was in high school.

What changes were made to these boards?

I can't say why the HB kid had the glasses on his hat, but my son keeps his there for two reasons:

He always knows where they are.
That's the place they are least likely to get broken. (Gear bags get stepped on or have things dropped on them.)

At $200 plus for the Oakleys, that's OK with me. That he looks cool is a bonus for him.

It could also be a California thing. There are few days here when you could say that they definitely won't be needed at some point in a day game.

(In the Dodgers -- Braves game today, one of the players had them on his bill, but right side up. Now that looked weird.)

As I said in a thread at the start of the Tournament, we saw managers taking Visitors because they felt it gave them more flexibility in making their subs when they were faced the 6 & 1 requirement.

We were hosting and I was the official scorer upstairs in the booth behind home plate. I didn't think it was my place to say anything. Should I have said something as if it were along the lines of a substitution violation?

If an umpire other than the one making the call had realized it was a head first slide, could he/she call it directly? Ask for a conference and tell B2 what he/she saw?
