This was one of the best finishers medals they have yet given out. It was retro and cool looking. It is something you would want to hang on your medal rack. The different color shirts for guys and gals was a great idea too, so that men didn't have to wear pink. I look forward to seeing what else they do this year.

This was their best race this year. The pre-packet pick up and event itself was well organized. I thought the tech-t design was the best Thanksgiving one yet, and the medals were very nice too. Everyone seemed to have a great time, including the kids. Very well done.

It was not their best event. When you went to pick up your shirt, etc it was already gone for many because late registrants were given those shirts instead of those who registered on time. They said they'd send the shirts later, but it takes several weeks. The swim started very late. It was very crowed in transition- not enough stations to set up at. They ran out of this year's medals, so they gave out last years, which was a huge disappointment since we paid for this years finisher's medal. It is unclear if they will be ordering more medals, but hopefully since they were already paid for through our fees. Usually these are great races, but the last two events haven't been up to the quality they used to be. I hope they improve soon. On the plus side- the bike route was nice.

This was my fav race with run13 this year. While running my own race was fun, I loved running with my niece and nephew. The organizers were so kind to both. It was fun to have a family oriented race. I'd love to see another one earlier in the year. As for any changes, a little fruit would be great too. =) Thanks Run 13!

I ran another race with this group. They were the worst organzied I had ever seen. The route was pretty, but dozons of things went wrong. The bus left early and without most of the runner. The five on the bus told they could start without everyone, which they did not. The route was not well marked. We had no idea what mile we were at. The finish line wasn't set up for the first few who crossed it, the timing chips weren't set off until the end of the race, the clock was 10 mins off, etc., etc. I was told by another that this is normal. Although the route may be beautiful, think of it more as a training run and you won't care if things go wrong. Not to diss the group, but I at least thought people should be prepared.

Run 13 has been one of my favorite groups to run with since living in Utah. They are very organized and friendly. I am always impressed with them, and this event was no exception. Their trails are well marked so you can't get lots. The after race fun is also a plus. This was a nice route, but more uphill areas than expected- nothing horrible, but just not expected since it was down a canyon. Most of those ocurred when we moved onto the foot trail next to the road. Overall, a nice 1/2 marathon.
