      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:433dda2d-e10c-4336-b7ac-bc1ba9cd7f1b] --&gt;&lt;div class="jive-rendered-content"&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;Emmaleigh47 - I'll gladly give you my list of PT exercises.&amp;#160; You seem to be in the early IT band problems.&amp;#160; Hopefully these exercises can prevent real pain and injury.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;1.&amp;#160; Lie flat on your back on the floor, legs straight out, arms by your sides.&amp;#160; Lift one leg with foot flexed off the floor about 6 inches.&amp;#160; Lower to floor.&amp;#160; Start with repeating till tired and work on increasing number of reps by five, to 100.&amp;#160; Repeat sequence with other leg.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;br/&gt;2.&amp;#160; Stand sideways on a step facing the rail and holding on for balance.&amp;#160; Let outside leg hang off the step and keeping the leg straight use your hip to raise the leg and lower till your foot is below the height of the stair you are standing on.&amp;#160; Repeat about 30 times each leg, working up to 50.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;3.&amp;#160; Standing, wrap the injured leg behind and directly next to, the standing leg.&amp;#160; Hang both arms down toward the floor on the injured leg side and slowly stretch down.&amp;#160; This is an IT band stretch.&amp;#160; Repeat on other side.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;4.&amp;#160; Lay on your side on the floor, arm bent to hold up your head.&amp;#160; Draw your feet up about 6 inches away from your bottom.&amp;#160; Lift top bent leg about 6 inches up, lower 4 inches down.&amp;#160; Repeat 50 reps, both legs, 2 sets each.&amp;#160; These are called clamshells.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;5.&amp;#160; Laying on your side as above, straighten top leg and angle slightly behind you.&amp;#160; Lift 6 inches, lower 4 inches, 50 reps, 2 sets each leg.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;I do these exercises every day I don't run.&amp;#160; I also found elevation and ice after a run to work wonders.&amp;#160; Please let me know if these help you as much as they have helped me.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;Melinda&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:433dda2d-e10c-4336-b7ac-bc1ba9cd7f1b] --&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:efea38dc-e5df-49ea-ac92-aa0ecfdf29e0] --&gt;&lt;div class="jive-rendered-content"&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;Hi everyone.&amp;#160; Sorry I haven't kept up posting....life sometimes gets in the way.&amp;#160; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;I found a great deal on cold apparrel for anybody looking.&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;#160; Starting yesterday Sear's has Nordick Trac men's medium warmth cold gear on sale for 11.99 each piece!&amp;#160; I thought I would buy a small but didn't find any so I purchased a medium pair of tights and mock turtleneck.&amp;#160; The shirt is a little big, but the tights fit good.&amp;#160; (Tells you which end of me is larger &lt;img height="16px" src="http://community.active.com/4.5.5/images/emoticons/silly.gif" width="16px"/&gt;)&amp;#160; I wore them on my run this morning in 15 degrees.&amp;#160; I wore the set, a Nike fleece crew neck, a pair of Under Armor socks, a pair of wool/acrylic socks, and a lined sweatshirt hoodie.&amp;#160; Oh and my fleece headband and gloves.&amp;#160; My body wasn't overheated, but was warm enough that my hands and feet were not cold.&amp;#160; Yay!&amp;#160; I was worried that just the tights wouldn't be enough but they were.&amp;#160; At that price I think I'll will stop over and get another set.&amp;#160; I can pass on the higher priced tech clothes.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;I ran W3 days 1-3 last week and used my Jeff Galloway 1:1 intervals on Saturday for 3.8 miles.&amp;#160; This morning I ran the C2 10K W4D1 which is a run/walk of 8/1.&amp;#160; I felt like I could have gone on and on.&amp;#160;&amp;#160; But I am still a penguin.&amp;#160; Saturday's pace on a fairly clear path was about 13:40.&amp;#160; This morning in the dark and snow covered sidewalks and streets was about 15:10.&amp;#160; But I am after endurance not speed right now and I love running outside.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;Hope everyone is having a great run today.&amp;#160; Stay toasty!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;Melinda&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:efea38dc-e5df-49ea-ac92-aa0ecfdf29e0] --&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:27393cf6-96e2-4499-86ed-7655bacdf3c0] --&gt;&lt;div class="jive-rendered-content"&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;Melissa - I too ran Sunday in the rain in Parma, Ohio.&amp;#160; It was 36 degrees and it was wonderful.&amp;#160; I too was the only one on the trail through the park that I saw.&amp;#160; I ran 3.6 miles at about a 13:40 mm pace.&amp;#160; That was faster than I have been in the snow!&amp;#160; This morning though it was so cold my dogs didn't even want to go out. &lt;img height="16px" src="http://community.active.com/4.5.5/images/emoticons/laugh.gif" width="16px"/&gt;&amp;#160; I ran 2.5 on the dreadmill.&amp;#160; I just hate it.&amp;#160; Besides being in the basement and boring, it's dusty and I don't breathe well down there.&amp;#160; Hopefully Thursday will be manageable outside.&amp;#160; I'm hoping Santa brings more some better cold weather apparel because I love running in the snow at 6am.&amp;#160; I can handle "feels like 14 degrees", but I am not sure about "feels like -2"!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"&gt;Melinda&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:27393cf6-96e2-4499-86ed-7655bacdf3c0] --&gt;</description>
