Trainers needed for new baseball academy..

We will be opening a new baseball academy in Canton on route 20 near the Target center off exit 19 off 575.

Looking to interview high school, college or former college, MLB/ minor players who have the ability to teach kids of all ages in whatever specialty they are well educated in (pitching, hitting, catching, speed and agility, fielding). Must be good with kids obviously and will have full and part time positions available. It will be commission based. The facility should be open by September some time.

Will have 8 indoor tunnels and 6 outdoor tunnels.
We plan on having team and individual memberships and look to provide an avenue for the kids to strenghthen their skills as well as to have a cool place to hang out at and just have fun learning baseball or softball.

Field space available Fall & Spring seasons 2012

We will have field slots available to accomodate (5) 9U-12U teams and (4) 8U teams. You will get 2 field slots per week from July-November for Summer/ Fall season and 2 field slots per week from February- June. You may use field slots for practices, scrimmage or league games.

You will also get at least 1 full weekend slot per season to run fundraiser tournament for your team.

11U AAA WPB Chargers

The 11U AAA Chargers have started their Winter Workouts. We are still looking for that one player to help finalize this team roster. Just looking for a solid kid who loves baseball and have committed parents.

We won 2 out of 3 tournaments this Fall with one in the 11U & one in the 12U divisions. We plan on competing at the highest level and are already planning for Cooperstown for 2013 season. We will be going to PCB at end of 2012 season.

We will have our first Open Tryout for the 2012 11U Chargers. Players are encouraged to come show their skills. We are looking for 2-3 players to fill a pretty solid roster. We will play out of Canton and will be playing AAA ball next season. Looking for strong pitching and fundamentally sound players that love baseball.

What to bring: Baseball gear and apparel.

10U for this Summer/ Fall, 11U for next season

WPB Chargers 10U team is looking for a few players to play in tournaments and potentially join the team for next season as 11U team. We will start tournament team in the beginning of July (after our current season) and run through until we get tired of baseball.

(WE NEVER GET TIRED OF BASEBALL)!!!

Looking for a few strong players to fill a pretty well rounded team. Pitching a definite plus, but a strong glove with good baseball situational education and a strong bat always a strong plus as well.

Looking primarily for a strong catcher and a few pitchers to play AAA-Major Travel ball next season. We are holding private and open tryouts throughout the Summer, looking for focused baseball players that want to play in tournaments and potentially round out a pretty solid ball team. We will be playing 11U baseball next Spring.

For next season: No money? No problem!! If you have what it takes to make the team, money will not stop a kid from playing for us.. Our parents paid $100 to play on our team this year and for next year, we plan on it costing them nothing. Have references if you don't believe it!

Included everything but gas to get to tourneys. We played about 50 games this year so far, between Lanier League and Tournaments.

Yea, people ask me sometimes if I am related to Lance and Reale or however you spell it and I would always ask what their stats are before potentially lieing to them:) Yes, I actually love being around the kids and do know a bit about baseball, but have no claims that I know more than others. Just try to instill that they need to have a good work ethic and to respect everyone (even the umpires), around them!

Reason I even got into it is because I was tired of coaches giving up on kids simply because they had 3 studs on the team and never focusing on the "TEAM" that ultimately helped them in one way or another to win/ lose ball games. That and I simply like doing it!

No hard feelings on the posts though. It made my day and I have posted the same towards others for various reasons

Wow, you guys are tough! I as well love the sarcasm though.

Ok, the WPB site was meant to give local kids an opportunity to play in tournaments that they may not be able to play in due to not making certain teams or just a bunch of kids that can get together that their parents cannot commit to all star schedules or travel teams, etc...

The clinics are a means bywhich parents can have options for their kids to get training that their coaches may not provide them during their seasons and was mainly meant for rec-ball players.

I am not the minor league guy that one of you posted the stats about. I just played ball when I was a kid all the way through getting out of the army. Don't think I advertised anywhere that I was a former MLB player or anything like that although I can't say I wouldn't have potentially enjoyed that life had I had the talent:)

WPB tournaments costs were $200 per team and I think the profit margin was about negative $35 per tournament, but gave me the satisfaction of watching 10-15 teams enjoying themselves for a weekend here and there. They are seasonal and do not occur during rec/ Fall-Spring seasons.

With the clinics, I have had a lot of response and have yet to charge families a dime for them although I have spent hours working with their kids. If I advertised they were free, I would never do my real job and would be broke!!

I do have to update some of that information, but tough when trying to work a real job to make real money.

The company was setup and will continue to provide cheap tournaments whereby parents do not get gouged with gate fees, high registration costs, etc... but will give the kids an opportunity to play more ball if they choose. Yes, my simple message to kids and parents is that "You will only get better if you keep working at it on your own". Coaches, dad's, instructors, can only guide you in "potentially" right directions. It's up to you to take the ball from there! End of story.

Sorry if I posted in wrong area as I was not trying to advertise my website, but simply announcing the 10U tryouts for my travel team. I guess I didn't help myself by advertising that it was in August instead of October though. Thanks for the heads up on that and I actually did like the sarcasm!!! What's life about if you can't laugh at yourself:)

Canton Chargers 10U Tryouts

Our 1st tryout will be at Harmon Field in Canton GA on Sunday, October 24th at 1pm. We will have 4-6 tryouts in next month. If you are interested, you may e-mail or call me. Kids have to be no older than 10 years old on May 1st 2011. 9 year olds may try out for team as well.
