Rehab for Groin Pain or Sports Hernia?

Hi, I have groin pain that will not go away, unless I stop running or do not exercise. As soon as I start again it comes back. I am thinking I may have sports hernia, which is a tear in the muscles where they joins the pelvis, based on what I found about groin pain on the website at Sports Hernia South. Dr. Jeffrey Hoadley is the sports hernia surgeon who created this site and he explains a lot about sports hernia anatomy, and it sounds like what I may have done to myself. He talks about how you can treat the condition using rehab, and only resort to sports hernia surgery if needed. Has anyone had any success with rehab for groin pain? Has anyone gone through sports hernia surgery?
